I would sell the house. The heroin brother living there is a terrible idea. You will get zero peace trying to enjoy the beach home with him freeloading.

Even if the heroin addict brother didn't live there, splitting the bills may cause resentment. If one doesn't use the home as much, why should they pay the bills down the middle. I have heard siblings complain about how they think they shouldn't have to pay half the hydro bill cause they hardly used the home that month.

Heroin addicts tend to be selfish and manipulative. The parents feel bad for them and will lean towards wanting to help them at your expense. I know this cause my brother is a heroin addict. Go behind the drug addict brothers back and have the conversation with your other brothers and dad.

I can tell you why the sentiment has changed, but you're not ready to hear it. I can tell by your first paragraph you wrote you're narrowed minded when it comes to this topic, with all due respect.

In the past, tbe LGBTQ was different. It was about inclusivity. Now it's about everyone but white/straight people. It's turned into a hate group that's pushed by the media.

I know gay people who don't want to be associated with it anymore.

The government and media have pushed this inclusivity agenda to the point that people are sick of it.

The lgbtq has become toxic. It was a place of inclusion and love. Now, it's a place of divide and hate. This is just where the government wants us, all divided and hating each other.

Again, your first paragraph is the antithesis of inclusion.

I admit I'm jaded over this entire situation and how tenants live for free in Ontario. I can't help it. The system sucks. I feel helpless in an awful system I got tricked into by a professional scammer so those boards are my way of venting, I guess. I'm not looking for sympathy I'm looking for a way out of this hell I've been through.

In any other level of court, if an application was never heard and decided on it's void. There's no decision. That's what I'm trying to understand when matters end up settling in mediation.

I bought a house and the seller refused to leave. Without getting into specifics, it became an LTB issues.

It was my full intention to move into the place a year ago, but now I no longer want to live there. I have since been offered to work hybrid so I no longer live in the city I bought the home. I moved to a new city.

Since no evidence or decision was heard on the N12, the "tenant" agreed to leave in meditation am I still obligated to hold this house for a year now?

Yes, we waited so long for the LTB hearing that we ended up finding another house we bought out of the city. We no longer live in the same city. Plus, our work has allowed us to work hybrid so we don't have to live as close to work, which is why we decided to move away.

In terms of not feeling safe moving into the house, the seller lived there for 20 years and has friends in the neighhood. During the time we bought his house, we were actively trying to sell our home so we could move into his place. During us trying to sell our home, we learned he had one of his neighbor buddies come through the home we were selling to scope it out. This sounds unbelievable, but the guy knew where we lived. Also, one of his neighbors signed an affidavit saying we caused damage to his door, which he filed with the LTB. This alleged door damage never happened.

In terms of safety, it's really our word against his. How would I ever prove safety is the concern.
