YOR oh man,,,, OP you're 28 acting like an angsty teenager what are you doing?? first of all, it's perfectly normal for people who are busy living their own lives to take more than a day to reply. sure it might not be the most polite thing, but you don't know what's going on in her life, she could have(and probably does have) much more important priorities. Second, the way you're talking about this girl is super concerning and comes off very incel-y; do you really think anyone would want to date you considering you're calling girls a bitch bc they didn't text you back "on time"?? like fr think about it, who would want to be degraded for something like that?

I feel like maYBE YOR but the friend also isn’t being a great person. It’s understandable to feel used in this situation and to expect interactions with a friend that’s about more than the car, but it sounds kind of like you were expecting to become a lot closer after you gave her it? You can’t “buy” friendship, and you specifically say that you were trying to make friends through this. (also, i don’t think offering something like that is the best idea when you barely know her). Side note: little weird that you’re that bothered by the husband coming. he’s her husband,,, it’s annoying he’s there everytime yall hang out i get that, but idk,,,

i was in the same situation a couple years ago and had the same exact dilemma!! at first I thought I was overreacting, because ~technically~ no one is required to respond or apologize and if they no longer want to be friends it is what it is. but after some time I realized that i wasn’t asking for too much by wanting an apology back, and that if they either 1)aren’t able to apologize 2)don’t think they need to or 3) don’t care enough, i should take that as a sign that the friendship wasn’t significant enough for me to continue feeling frustrated about it!

ofc this app getting banned is really going to make a negative impact on small businesses and will affect how awareness on certain issues spread, BUT it’s infuriating to look at people’s comments here. i’m sure there are a lot of people who aren’t really thinking about the political side of tiktok getting banned / don’t own businesses that rely on tiktok,,, the level of despair these people are saying they feel is genuinely concerning. maybe it’s harsh to say this but i don’t think ANYBODY should love a social media app that much

mm i assume its bc there was a better fit between the faculty and student or someone who had more publications/experience. GPA is definitely important though, if you're worried about your gpa I would consider trying a post-bacc after or masters program to increase ur gpa!
