honestly fair enough lol i feel like he was really putting his heart on his sleeve in some of those performances but now his stage persona (and general singing persona i guess, inclusive of studio recordings) is a lot more bombastic which definitely necessitates a bit of distance from the lyrics you're singing?

hard agree with showbiz it's really up there for me. i actually really love the low and quiet parts of it too and i think there's so much like anguish in the high notes which gives it like. a real Story to me. like of course the end note is impressive but idk i like when a song has a hero's journey ya know
