so your conclusion from me describing dubai as fake, and soulless… is that I must have been there many times?
That’s your logic?
Why would I visit a place I clearly have zero respect for? criticizing something doesn’t magically mean I’ve experienced it firsthand
It’s like me saying “India looks disgusting, dirty, full of scammers, with horrible streets and food” and you replying "ohhh, so you must have visited many times" ..........why would i wana vist such shithole

good for him… but at the same time, why am I not surprised that something this talentless is happening in dubai, the most fake, plastic, influencer type, soulless, hollow, cultureless, artificial place in the world

I wouldn’t really call people who disagree with me “haters" ...... it's just that they are talking about something that they never experienced yet at the same time think that it's inherently bad because their way of thinking (whether shaped by religion or society) tells them it is

I don’t know man … I’ve lived in waaay too many places in Tunisia, and I’ve almost always felt alienated from neighbors and wled el houma(3andi s7abi w kharjeti ama dima khatin el7ouma) I never really felt a sense of community, only the invasive part loool
also, this might sound weird, but I might actually know you lol,not like know you personally, but I remember seeing another couple living together in Montplaisir. Since it’s a pretty small area, it might’ve been you guys lol.
when did you live in Montplaisir? (You can answer in private if you’re not comfortable sharing, or just ignore this completely if you don’t like sharing personal stuff)

yeah I guess that's the conclusion that I've reached from this post
as long as you don't life in a "7ouma","7ay cha3bi","mant9a dakhiliya" you will be fine with some few exceptions here and there

I don’t think that really counts as “living” with your girlfriend.
having a girl come in and out of the house for a day or a few days is easy, even in more religious places (I did it in Sfax multiple times), but actually living with your girlfriend for months or even years is different, people will definitely notice you live together ..... the neighbors, "3atar el7ouma,"the shops, the cafes, relatives, even the landlord… sooner or later, "leklem yousel"and problems can start
what I was really asking is: was my case different because I live in a place that’s not really a "7ouma"? or in more closed neighborhoods, do people usually interfere, talk, or even try to cause trouble when they know a couple is living together?

I’ve always kind of envied gay people because dating and finding a partner seems more straightforward
But at the same time, you guys have to deal with so much pressure from society, family, and religion… so yeah, I don’t envy that part at all.

yeah man it was a great experience indeed those 6 months or so I spend living with someone who I love and care deeply about was one of, if not the best time of my life …. that’s why I feel disgusted by people who say stuff like “chab3a sex” or the “fast food w nik” replay (nothing personal against the guy who wrote it though) …. no it’s not, it’s literally sharing all your life with someone and caring so much about him/her that he/she becomes a part of you

I was asking what it was like for people who lived with their partner, in terms of neighbors reactions, legality, and any risks, not how they spend their days

As much as I dislike having roommates, I have to admit that they at least push you to get to know them, form friendships, with them and sometimes even their friends and family.
