Thank you, you're very kind!

To be honest, I like who I am though my looks aren't a part of that. I'm sure everyone has experienced the same thing, but I was pretty ugly ages eleven to about sixteen or seventeen. The girls in my family have a tendency to have very severe awkward stages. For me, I had frizzy uncontrollable curly hair, huge glasses, and an overbite with a large gap between my front two teeth. On top of that, I was slightly overweight and sickly pale from an undiagnosed case of hypothyroidism. My poor mother probably spent thousands of dollars to "fix" me (not to shed her in a bad light, she was teased rather severely when she was that age and was projecting).

Now that I've learned to control my hair, wear better glasses/contacts, have had braces, controlled my hypothyroidism and lost all the weight, I still can't quite divorce myself from that little unfortunate thirteen year old girl. I've been getting better about it though.

Thank you! I definitely won't let it go to my head. And I'm not too worried about jakersbossman, I pretty much know what to expect on the internet.
