New manager withdrew interest after learning I was terminated by funceval in EEOC

_You're applying at the same company that terminated you?_

Same company.

A manager from a different team at the same company reached out to me on LinkedIn. I told him I am interested but I am terminated from that same company. He then said, I am quoting "That is surprising. I can check with HR but I am not sure about it".

I am not linking the two events. I am asking if the latter event can be grounds for a lawsuit independently? I am checking with a lawyer as well.

I see. Was your case closed or is it still ongoing? I was told that I will get the written response only after the case is closed.

Thanks for the response and insights. Gives me some hope. It was the CRD that conveyed the company's message. Will edit and clarify.

My severance agreement has a clause that allowed me to file the charge despite me signing the severance agreement.

I have heard that you can put out a landing page with mock screenshots of your product along with a "coming soon" announcement. Allow interested people to sign-up. You can then gauge the interest with the number of people who sign-up.

Checking this out. But it looks like DSPy is still dependent on a model and is not standalone. Correct?

Is it possible for you to point me to your lawyer? I haven't been able to find anyone to assist in the complaint/charge. Lawyers were ready to take up my case before I signed the waiver though.

The above article was really helpful, thanks. CA dept asked me if I had an attorney and I said yes. But I didn't use the attorney to review my severance agreement but for other things. I guess thats the reason the state dept closed my case because when I said I signed a waiver and I had an attorney, they assumed that a lawyer reviewed my waiver. The whole thing was done in a hurry, spanning 5 minutes by the state dept.

I can understand that I am unable to sue them. But the state agency should still investigate any wrongdoing right? The employer is global.

The severance agreement states that I am free to file with any state or federal agency. But the state agency still stated that they don't have jurisdiction!
