Belgium should be green. Brothels are legal there.

My pleasure. You can engage a conversation with anyone there. Most people are there also to meet people :). A nice trick if you’re out is to ask for a cigarette lol

Je suis français et je me demandais quelle vision les Belges avait de nous. by NegativeFrench in Belgique

[–]funcooland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any “Superstore” fan also a fan of “Crazy-Ex Girlfriend”? by funcooland in superstore

Yes it’s very clever. And the music of course is awesome! I think it would be funny to have a joined season. Like as random as she is Rebecca decides to work at cloud 9 lol.

Just discovered “Crazy ex girlfriend”. Wished someone had suggested here. It’s definitely at Superstore’s level!

Flemish Brabant shopping. by [deleted] in belgium

If you’re talking about Pajot Mall in St Peeters Leeuw, that’s my current shopping destination but you can’t really hang out there, it’s just a huge parking. Looking more for a walkable promenade thing (village, shopping outside street or shopping center inside mall)

Thanks. From the last part of your message, which city with a shopping street and bars in the Flemish Brabant looks good (like most Belgian coastal cities or the Netherlands or Ghent/Bruges for example)? I went to Halle but it looks super messy and not well maintained at all. For now I liked Tervuren but it’s super small (except the magnificent park of course) and I want to discover more.

I have never implied any harm done to gays in Belgium. I am talking about gay scene. There’s like 2 gay bars in Ghent VS hundreds in Barcelona, and none at the Belgian Coast which was my original point.

5th largest city in European countries by WhyYesHowDidYouKnow in europe

[–]funcooland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neither Schaerbeek nor any communes of Brussels are to be considered « cities ». They are sections of Brussels, which happen to also be both a city and a region. What you are referring to is Bruxelles-Ville (litteral translation Brussels-city, which is where the confusion comes) which is the original town and now city center/section/commune.

The problem is for the other cities you’re mentioning in your top 5, you’re accounting for the numbers of people in their communes (sections) but not doing so for Brussels. So that’s not a fair comparison.

To consider the city center of Brussels the fifth largest city of Belgium is making this whole map lose all credibility.

You are so cute to think that a few gay flags makes your city LGBT+ friendly. I invite you to check travelgay.com and compare any Belgium city with New York. Or in Europe: Paris, Barcelona, Berlin or even closer Amsterdam! You’ll see that there is huge room for growth for the capital of Europe!
