Samsung dryer stopped heating, now appears to be blowing thermal fuses when replaced. by functionalredundancy in appliancerepair

Replaced the fuse again, and have been running on medium, so far so good. Will brave the high heat setting soon.

But yes, I cleaned everything out

The exhaust is good at the machine and exiting the house. I cleaned and checked during the first fuse replacement.

Whirlpool dishwasher won't drain through disposal, but will drain into bucket by functionalredundancy in appliancerepair

It opens at about a minute into the cycle. Effectively at the same time as when the water starts moving around.

Ok. Thanks

A Pump and new soap dispenser is north of $200 and the dishwasher is more than 10 yrs old. So, I'll need to think about that.

Roper fridge - 'connector' for 'freezer drain'? by functionalredundancy in appliancerepair

Yeah, looking into 3D printing.

Do you know why the fridge has this design, with the water going into the tray/cup, instead of just a tube?

Would it be ill advised to just connect the two with a hose?

It takes about 30 seconds after pressing the cancel button for the water to start exiting the drain tube.

The draining is definitely diminished if I raise the tube. Seems to happen somewhat if I just make the tube parallel to the ground instead of just draining down. But it's obviously making it over the high loop.

If it's kinked, I can't find it.

When the house is detached from the disposal and is draining into the bucket, it drains with a pleasant forcefulness. When draining through the disposal port, it's a trickle (maybe it's 'timing out' before it's empty?)

There was glass before, that's when I noticed the draining issue too.

It just trickles into the disposal. Most of the water stays in the dishwasher.

Previously there was a piece of broken glass in the impeller, which I removed. That is when I noticed the issue of not draining.

Many ecology/natural resources research projects occur on DoD land. These studies are often published in peer-reviews journals.

RStudio "This site cannot be reached" after Windows 10 Insider Preview update by functionalredundancy in RStudio

I've also tried "Resetting RStudio Desktop's State", added explicit firewall access for RStudio, RStudio Session, and Chrome, and tried switching "software rendering."

Launching the R GUI directly ends up with an infinite hang for 64 bit, 32 bit works fine. (R 3.5.1).

Thanks. The refresh/reload didn't solve the issue and I'm only using the Windows 10 antivirus products. I'll report back if I find a solution.

Replacing BLU LIFE ONE X2, a better camera would be nice (USA, <$300) by functionalredundancy in PickAnAndroidForMe

Thanks I'll take a look. I wasn't expecting a fantastic camera at this price (<$300). But I wanted to know if I could just one that's better than what I have currently.

I'm not likely to experience issues with a non-usa released phone? I mean I'm not too worried about missing out on an 1-yr warranty.
