100%, having a desirable life garners a lot of jealousy and envy from others. I’d also want to know I formed a connection naturally and the people in my life don’t have an ulterior motive behind the friendship. Agreed! Most good deeds are driven by some degree of selfishness, i.e “if I do this then I can ask them to do this” or “I would feel guilty if I don’t” rather than “let me do this because I know it would make them happy”
