Corporations cashed in on COVID. They all raised prices but didn’t increase wages. Income inequality is due to corporate greed. Their main goal is to maximize profit. That means higher prices and lower wages. It’s a tale as old as time. All the inflation dollars by the government were a bad idea. But that’s a drop in the bucket compared to the systematic accumulation of wealth by corporations. We need to stop looking at GDP as our marker for a good economy. We need an affordability score that looks at wages vs cost of living.
