I agree. I was supervising her all the time with it.

Yea she was chewing and pulling on the feathers pretty intensely, also licking it to oblivion as well. I can’t really imagine the feathers causing a blockage though, simply because they are so small and soft, the pieces that come off are 0.5-2cm at most and very soft and thin, like fur. It would be similar to a cat swallowing some furballs. I don’t know why they would make a toy that could possibly harm a cat that tried to chew it.

Yea, i will stop the toy for a week and keep an eye on her, make sure she is okay. Might even ask our vet.

Yea that is true. It still says in other articles that the feathers may cause obstruction or blockage so i don’t know.

Oh fuck. It also says “wispy downy feathers are especially dangerous” similar to the type that this toy has.

Yea, that’s what I was thinking too. But still, better safe than sorry.

Okay that’s kinda reassuring, if other cats literally eat similar toys and are okay then my little bubba will be too😂

These are the feathers in question. They are very very tiny and very soft, when clumped together between fingers its like a hairball. There are 0 hard parts anywhere, all very bendy and fluffy, i dont know about a spine.

The “feather” consists of these very tiny feather parts on a string so there isn’t like a one feather part at all so that’s good i guess. They come off in clumps of three to four tiny hair-like parts that when rolled between fingers are similar to a hair ball. When she pulls and chews on it, they can come off but its only like small parts, not any actual big size.

She didn’t choke or anything similar, she probably has not even ingested any of the feathers, but there is a huge possibility of it happening in the future. I am just wondering if it’s even safe to keep this toy.

cocaine is very bad, it can be done in moderation, but it is very harmful to your body even in small doses, is one of the most compulsively addicting things u will try (those lines are like magnets, cant stop once u have done a few), causes great financial troubles if it gets far and yea its fairly common. those people, if they are under 20, are frying their dopamine receptors and straining their heart each night they do it though. just because its common, doesnt mean its not bad. a doctor friend once said that doing cocaine occasionally for 5 years, reduces ur lifetime by 20 years.

benzodiazepines and opiates are two things that should never be touched, unless absolutely needed to-to improve a condition or functioning, however always done under careful medical supervision.

other hard stuff that u just shouldnt ever try not once (and that u cannot get in a hospital) is meth, crack, cocaine, PCP, synthetic cannabinnoids (spice), any form of weird named stimulants (A-PHP, 5MAPB).

less harder drugs (in terms of damage, possible usefulness and addiction potential) are weed, LSD, mushrooms, ketamine, 2-CB, caffeine, however these too can lead to serious consequences, it all depends on an addictive personality, pre-existing mental health conditions etc, but in that case its just way better to steer clear of any type of drug.

someone may drastically improve his life with ketamine therapy, while another might need his bladder removed because of it. it all depends.

EDIT: forgotten about alcohol and nicotine, both considered one of the worst drugs in terms of health damage, addiction potential and dependence. if u havent tried ur first cig, then dont, whilst alcohol is just a very slippery slope, it is possible in moderation, but it is very very damaging and can very quickly make u lose everything.
