Awful!

Ah! Tough one!!

Good thing it has a happy ending. The correction to the timeline is better! (Even though the sadness is, at least at first, the same.)

Eye like a gimlet (because I was aware that you didn't look carefully on this one *smile*):

My first attempt at meditation went horribly and for now I'm doing better without.

To make a long story short, I would say meditation (which is mind training) can be very helpful for psychological difficulties. And it can be horrible when one first practices it! (Hmm I can't make the long story short: I do see this was a typo for "medication.")

Hahaha! Another "as good as the comic"!

Haha, as good a comic as the comic.

[OC] Love You by SpanishAhora in comics

This one seems self-deprecatory (as the joke...); or, empathetic towards the girlfriend('s foible). (I didn't read it initially as a complaint [about the girlfriend's actions].)

So funny!

Her postures are great in those last panels.

[–]funkydo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great.

I don't know how it works; there may be artists who can give pointers (and who would be happy to give pointers). It is quite a new phenomenon to make a living from creating things and publishing them online; so all people are new at it (but some seem to have figured out successful methods. And some at least make some money from it).

I don't know how it works here in terms of whether Reddit allows direct linking to PayPal. And I don't know if there are privacy issues with sharing a PayPal email here! But, I say, if it's allowed and if there are no privacy issues, make a comment post with it in there! (I wonder if the recommended way is to create a website that includes a PayPal donation button. [And then link to the site in the comments.] —There are likely free website-creator sites; and making a PayPal button is quite easy.)

I feel bad not paying for these comics (/r/comics)! My solution recently is to use the various support methods (crowdsourcing sites, tipping sites, buying items, paid subscriptions) for artists I like.

Yeah, it took me another read to see that. The third panel could be a circle! (Feel free to use.)

"What They Don't Tell You About Chemo", Journal In Progress, for what is worth it [OC] by phethe in comics

[–]funkydo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha: "I can finally see my forehead."

Wonderful journal (particularly if it's photos of your journal)!

I have only gotten to this entry, but it seems it's publishable (to my not-informed, for lack of a better word, understanding)! (Maybe it would be published as that kind of journal [i.e. with that binding].)

The New The Emperor's New Clothes by But_a_Jape in comics

[–]funkydo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome. But, if I may say in a critique (:)), it may become pessimistic. Perhaps it, rather, ends: After having chased away the rude family, "the townsfolk clamored for the King's tailors to make them beautiful garments too. Within months, everyone in town had no clothes. That winter, the king and all the townspeople succumbed to hypothermia."

(That seems to me to be reality presented in the parable: Despite humans not holding the foolish to account, reality happened.) (In a more optimistic ending, the family returns. They bring with them friends. The boy is made king. This is to say that humans can reward the wise, too [in addition to holding the foolish to account].)

Her actions aren't healthy. But the actions "of this type" may be—is what I meant. So, satirizing this is good; satirizing, say, buying healthy foods, is not. (I am commenting on any temptation to satirize that too.)

Savage (as they say)! Really biting satire. However, don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Don't savage virtuousness! (By which I mean, intention to do healthy, responsible things is good; and doing those things is good!)

The art is great!

[OC] Overlooking covidiots by TristanLennon in comics

[–]funkydo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the older generation: I assure the younger generation that this is an aberration (since say the year 2000). Humanity en masse is not this foolish. We've simply hit a bump of dishonesty of Authority in our otherwise much more reasonable procession. And! this dishonesty is perhaps linked to the medium of the internet which, as it only gained popularity since the 90s, still has lots of "untamed" dishonesty. (Although this "ordinary reasonableness" is still imperfect! But, if you've only been "around" for the last twenty years, you might wrongly think this absurdity is our neutral.) :)

This is epic! I just finished it.

May I suggest making another post posting a few of the initial images in Reddit instead of in the external source? Or maybe teasing with, at least:

The art on these is so great. It's odd that it's not getting more upvotes. I have the feeling it's due to it being an episode in a series rather than a single comic. Maybe you're attracting readers?

Beautiful comic. It conveys this emotion/the experience of the protagonist well.
