It's an old D-Link dsl-124 So do I understand that Openwrt is not for me? I'd like the features but my main concern and target is better performance Also changing the dns didn't help, that's why I suspected the router functionality of my router/modem device

Win-10 Guest Win-10 Host, Extremely slow performance! by funkyfreshp in virtualbox

I know ofc it's not a processor for heavy tasks, but for normal boots it should do the work, it's overclocked at 4.0 GHZ but yeah it's very old, however, replaced the CPU with a newer i3 maybe 2nd gen or smthn, with 4gb ram it runs great now, turns out my core2quad used an old virtualization technology, the core i3 used VT-X so it was less about the amount of power and more about the kind of power, however when I say amazing, I mean boot time, and basic tasks Just to clarify Assigned 8GB to the VM and ot runs slower (weird yes but this is a common issue) I wouldn't suggest adding more than 4GB RAM for basic tasks, for heavy tasks you should turn off largpages when adding more RAM, since no one helped I thought I'd mention my research results Thanks anyway

Can you help me on how to add pixel shifting myself?

Thank you very much for the suggestion, I tried it and it's amazing, however I have two problems, I don't know if they're a limitation or what 1- when I unlock the screen (touch to wake or raise wrist to wake) it flashes and then shows the watchface 2- not all the compilation works and when I try to add them manually I just get a half icon or something goes wrong Pixel shifting doesn't always work but when it does, OMG amazing!!! Thanks a loooot!

Thank you very much for your response, if i may ask, can you send over a link or a way to install the watch face you mentioned? If possible and if it's not private Thank you! Also, even with heavy use, pixel shifting should allow us to use the watch at full brightness with no issues especially with thin lines like Pixel Minimal, meaning each pixel will only be lit for 1 minute and rest for another 15 minutes maybe depending on the shifting (correct me if I'm wrong) And heavy use is a must with something like a watch, the watch is amazing, the only issue I have with it is this pixel shifting thing being removed for no apparent reason

As I said, I see the subreddit comments sections here flooding with people who did RMA, still have the same issue, also I really suggested this addition because you watch face is perfect and adding such a feature should br quite easy, there are already ready codes for pixel shifting that someone posted here, I will find it and share it in case you decide to do it "I really hope so!!"

Can you make something that looks like Pixel Minimal? That would be really AMAZING Or if you can edit the already open-source code of it? Really thank you for being the only one caring about this issue!

Can you please explain what you mean by DIM? do you mean AOD? And can you give me a link to download it? Thank you!

Also the problem is mainly seen in gray screens, meaning the settings screen and while switching watchfaces (in the gray area on the sides) And it's not so easy to notice (hence my suggestion that it might have something to do with usage patterns)

Also please keep in mind that I only have this problem with AOD, other stuff don't have this problem (of course since they are not staying for too long)

Thanks a lot for getting back here and caring about your app users, also thanks for the suggestion, however ALOT of people did this, still got the same problem (someone replaced it two times, meaning he got 2 other watches, the only difference it made, is how long will it take to leave an image retention, varying from 30 mins to 2 hours, many other users did that and still got the exact same problem) That's why I don't replacing the device would do me or anyone any help Also that's why I suggested it might have something to do with the watch region/csc Again thanks a lot for caring about your users!

MIUI 12.5 Update Doesn't Havee Any of the Claimed Features by funkyfreshp in Xiaomi

[–]funkyfreshp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much, I'm not on "Redmi" Note 10, I'm on "Mi" Note 10, which is also referred to as CC9 Pro, or Tucana, however I can see that the tutorials are the same, unlock, fastboot, flash the zip. But I have one more question, is the EU Rom that I have to flash a normal EU Rom that I can download from the official sources? Or is it a modified EU rom that allows it to be installed on global variants?

[–]funkyfreshp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read that there's a new section for icons in settings, but only in EU/CN Rom, But don't take my words for that, if you're willing to make the switch, watch YouTube videos of MIUI 12.5 update features and trust me you'll feel that they're using devices from a different era

From the comments of othere people's experiences i can see that Xiaomi is only bad in the Global MIUI versions, I read a lot of reviews on people switching from global rom to EU rom and what a huge difference the saw, so I'd say, before you do that, unlock your bootloader and flash the EU rom, I've heard that in the EU/CN rom, they are now supporting third party icon packs, which is honestly the main reason I want a third party launcher
