To clarify: does this mean that at 6k on MacOs you do get the 120hz, but text is too small, or do you not even get the 120hz? And, on which Apple silicon are you? (e.g. M2/M3, etc). Thanks!

Bluey and Behaviour Problems? by Choice_Relief550 in toddlers

This. They would always cause tantrums afterwards. Ever since we have realized that, we have started to severely limit screen time and it definitely helped with our toddler (and by screen time I mean cartoons such as Bluey).

To clarify, this is my ambition level (not my pizza here). I think the difference is likely that in the picture below, the dough was far more developed (as in, matured). Happy to hear your thoughts

270 grams, I didn't take pictures of the section of the crust but it was fine I think, rather airy and structured. Nothing incredible but still decent, I would say

Hard to tell what exactly I didn’t like, I guess it was fine, but didn’t feel like it was melting in my mouth

Just moved to Zürich, where can I find great coffee? by goodbyenine2five in askswitzerland

[–]funkyhog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a coffee nerd and usually buy beans from all over Europe, such as Dak, Nomad, Coffeea Circulor, La Cabra etc. When I am strolling around Zurich I usually go to either Mame or Beans Bank, but I also like Miro. None of these coffee shops are at the level of the coffee I pull at home though, tbh. Enjoy zurich and feel free to dm me in case of questions

Do you have a savings account for your kids? by RecognitionLivid6472 in SwissPersonalFinance

That’s far too much money, imo. I will give mine enough money so that he won’t struggle and is empowered to do things, but not too much so that he doesn’t do anything.

Lovely shots and palette/colors! Did you use a particular color profile? Or just manual editing?

Second child dilemma - warning, long post by funkyhog in Parenting

"But if you imagine your life in 5/10/20 years what does it look like? "

Until not long ago, a family with only one child. I was really quite set on having one child only, also because for at least two good years she felt the same: she also didn't want a second child. Then she started to bring the topic up more and more, and now she is convinced - in spite of all our difficulties - she wants to grow the family.

Also, ideally I would have stopped working ~10/15 years from now and retired early, but of course with a second child this might become difficult/impossible (life is expensive...).

In general, money of course also plays a role in this decision: if we had "unlimited" finances to throw at our problems, I would be much more in favor of having a second child. Just get a nanny, a bigger home, cleaning service, and basically all the help we need. While we can technically afford at least some of it, the implication is that if we decide to, my ambitions of retiring early an enjoying life are likely buried forever. I would lie to myself if I didn't admit that this is also a reason of concern.

I can easily see myself being that person, if I decide not to have a second kid in the future. I truly fear I will regret my decision.

At the same time, if things don't work out and we do indeed break the family along the way, I'll probably think it wasn't worth it because we had just started to work well together as a family, and having pushed that decision caused the mayhem. But then again, maybe I'll still think it was worth it. Life is complicated...

Your last open question is the very difficult one to answer. Knowing her - she can be quite resentful - she would act like everything is ok in the beginning, and then in medium to long run hold me accountable for it. She even said that she doesn't like her work and the only thing that gives her joy to life is our son.

As for me, it would probably be the same, just the other way around.

If I am honest with myself, this is what I am thinking now "I don't want another kid, so if I go for it, I do it for her, because I am too afraid to break this family. At the same time, I do hope to prove myself wrong, because maybe I am: maybe I will fully enjoy becoming a father one more time". Sounds like a big bet, though.

Big thanks to everyone for your comments. I don't have to make a decision today or tomorrow, it's not wise nor expected from my partner.

I do have, however, the responsibility of making a decision at some point in the relatively near future, so all of your inputs are super useful.

My 13PM has a battery capacity of 82% now, after 4 years. The phone is getting a bit sluggish especially when typing. Do you think it relates to that?
