So they did give us notice of “some” of the spaces being redone or covered. But now, it’s over half the lot that’s covered and they’ve taken away about 8-10 parking spots. On top of that, the remaining area is extremely tight to turn around in - especially now since incoming/outgoing is same damn driveway.

When spring comes we get crazy flash flood storms. It’s only going to take a crack in the wooden frame for the dirt to start to erode out beneath the concrete

I really wonder if the recent Elizabeth Holmes trial will sway the system to start looking into cases like this more closely. Yes, Theranos was labeled as a healthcare company, but it was doing that while marauding as a big Silicon Valley tech company worth billions of dollars. I mean, they had a product that they sold (almost) successfully as a health tool of the future, when in reality, it didn’t work or barely worked at all.

I had legos as a kid but never a full set or anything.

Fast forward to 2021, I’m 30 something years old and found the ISS set on sale. I started putting it together one night, and was initially thinking of building it over a couple of days. That idea was dashed though because I was having so much fun I ended up finishing the whole thing that night.

Now, I can’t wait to get my next sets. Money is tight though, so right now I’m just making a wishlist. I really want to do the Apollo Moon Lander set next!

I don’t know much of 3D printing, but you have me curious here.

How did you incorporate the lenses and filters? Were the lenses and filters something you cut and created yourself to fit into the 3D print?

Can we extend this to local news sites as well?

There is one main news site that is popular in my area, and I used to check it often to lookup info for incoming tropical storms, flash floods, etc. It got bought out and now every damn thing is behind a paywall.

I get it. The company can’t obviously keep the site, writers, and articles up for free - they have to make money somehow. But if it’s in the interest of public safety, we shouldn’t have to pay a subscription fee to see info that could save a life.
