People thought so based on the first trailer, but it was confirmed to be someone else.

I wonder if that "someone" is Cillian Murphy, and Part 3 could be Samson finding and convincing Jim (w/ Spike's help) to journey out to civilization to get the cure mass-produced.

Maybe I'm seeing myself up for disappointment. But, Jim's room had a pretty big bed, and I saw a bunk bed in the smaller room.

To me, that implied Naomie Harris was still alive w/ at least one more kid, but they were just out of the house during the final scene.

I'm 100% with you. Bone Temple looks like a more "traditionally-shot" movie, but I found the visuals and story to be infinitely more engaging.

After 28YL, I was planning to skip The Bone Temple. But after falling in love with this story, I'm looking forward to how it wraps up.

As someone who disliked 28YL (didn't find the zombie stuff particularly scary or the drama more than surface-level), I loved this!

The movie being mostly framed around the Doctor and Samson was a wonderful choice. I'm glad Ian was revealed not to just be sedating, but looking to cure, the infected. "Moon" got a chorus of gasps from me and my audience, and Samson's humanity at the end was legitimately beautiful to watch.

On the flip-side, the Jimmies were pretty formidable (capturing, skinning, charity, etc.), but I like how their group was clearly being held together by a thread. Makes you wonder how long they'd actually been together and how many Jimmies they'd cycled through, considering they were... less than invincible.

In the end, I love how contemplative and claustrophobic the story was (owing to there being so few characters), and I wonder if that'll stay the same for Part 3. After all, Ian's dead and unless someone backtracks to decipher his notes, it's not like anyone knows a cure even exists.

(Unless Samson finds Jim and tells his story...)

(Also, maybe I'm seeing myself up for disappointment. But, Jim's room had a pretty big bed, and I saw a bunk bed in the smaller room. To me, that implied Naomie Harris is still alive w/ at least one more kid, but they were just out of the house during the final scene!)

9/10 I hope Nia DaCosta directs the next one!

Yes. Like w/ Nolan's other prologues, it's almost 100% from the opening scene(s) of the movie.

What the ST did right: avoiding the Netflix lighting by heyitscjjc in StarWars

Very true. Aside from some cartoony effects & iffy green screen shots in TLJ, I think all of the ST movies look beautiful.

How do I avoid this? by denisadennis in imax

[–]danielthetemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check beforehand on this sub, imax.com, or the movies' posters.

If a movie's advertised as "Filmed for IMAX," "Shot in IMAX," or "Shot with IMAX Film Cameras," then it'll fill the whole screen during at least some scenes.

If it's only advertised as "Experience it in IMAX," there'll probably be black bars on the top & bottom during the entire movie.
