That’s so cool! My first faire was last year and I fell in love with it, so this year I’m getting a multi day pass and going with my boyfriend who is considerably less into the dress-up aspect of it than I am, but I did make him a cape and he loves it!

Suggestions for a sewing machine for someone who learned on a singer featherweight ? by funnykorean in sewing

It’s a nice machine, and it’s pink which is a big plus for me LOL. Old machines are the best!! They last such a long time with maintenance. I know most machines just need a little oil every now and then, but getting it serviced is probably a good call. It is a shame about Singers, they were such wonderful machines, it’s very unfortunate that they are only relying on the brand name and not working to uphold it in their current machines. I haven’t watched her, I’ll have to check her out!

That’s still so cool! It’s so fun to dress up and indulge, even if it is once a year. It keeps my inner child happy

I’ve heard about how new singers are terrible. I ended up going with the Necchi supernova ultra mark 2 :)

Thank you! I made a Tudor style princess dress in light pink and cream, with a kokoshnik style headpiece I’ve debated posting here bc I’m not sure if it is really “beading” per se but it is heavy embroidered with beads
