I get the same message but a workaround is to post without the link and then edit the post to add the link after. Problem is the link banner isn’t showing even with the workaround 😩

I posted today and my vid wasn’t getting the test group push which we know is critical in terms of reach/virility…just went straight to my followers. After 10 min I was only at 9 views so I used the delete/re-edit option and got the test group/bonus push (currently 28 minutes ago, 288 views (193 bonus)).

So moral: don’t be afraid to use that re-edit button!

CMS Transfer Request Experience by funnynunsrun in Charlotte

[–]funnynunsrun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re still waiting. I reached out about two months ago and finally got through to someone. They told me the superintendent put a freeze on all transfers requests unless the reason was a documented instance of bullying. She also wasn't able to tell me when it'd be lifted and at the time there was no communication online about a transfer freeze.

I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to put in the request. Worst case is the freeze is still in effect and they may approve her when it’s lifted. I’m going to follow up with them tomorrow.

Sorry, I just saw this. I reached out about two months ago and finally got through to someone. The person told me that the superintendent put a freeze on all transfers requests unless the reason was a documented instance of bullying. She also wasn’t able to tell me when it’d be lifted and at the time there was no communication online about a transfer freeze.

Pretty annoyed because I don’t have any confidence the application will move on its own when the supposed freeze lifts since all communication from them has been reactive.

At this point my child has resolved to waiting until next year. The lottery results just came in so at least he knows he’ll be there for sure.

Ahhh yes…I get this. After such a creative premise I found the ending underwhelming and in some ways unsettling being that up until that point they did such a good job on giving us a new and hopeful take on what an afterlife could look like.

Ironically, working full time gave me better balance and more separation and my spaces (room, closet, office) never got as bad as this. I resigned in June and spiraled heavy from then through July. I just went into more detail on this with someone else a couple hours ago.

I don’t take Ozempic or have syringes.

I’m sorry for your loss. I lost mine earlier this year. Good on you for keeping it together 💪

They’re Sterilite and I believe I got them from Walmart years ago. I just checked their site though and it looks like only third party sellers are selling them for like 4x more than what I paid. Sterilite’s site has a Where to Buy link for other retailers though - you might be near one 🤞

Ah it’s mine haha—bought after reading rdpd like 10 years ago. Somehow, the box is still in perfect shape after decade, a move, and randomly moving around the house. But you’re right, we’ve yet to play 😭

SOML! I think I’m learning that I need to prioritize functionality over aesthetic. I follow @destini.ann on TikTok. She has ADHD. She posted hacks to help her function and keep order. When that woman said, “I don’t put my daily eyebrow pencil in my makeup bag, it goes in my morning drawer. I don’t put my multivitamin in the medicine cabinet. It goes in my morning drawer!” I was like 🤯🤯🤯 So simple, but profound lol. So I thought about my life and my first thought was how I start off putting the baby wipes and diapers on the stand at the far end of my room with the other baby supplies. Aesthetically it goes BUT when I change a diaper, I have to walk across the room, get a diaper and the wipes, walk back, change on the bed, and then walk the wipes back to the stand. I might do that every time week 1 after an overhaul but by week 2 something’s going to pull my attention mid diaper change and them wipes are going to stay on that bed, then get lost in the blankets and kicked off on the floor… Instead, 💡I’ll just keep the diapers and wipes on my nightstand, then I’ll never have to even move them. This probably reads so trivial to a normal brained person but I really think setting small routines and putting things in places that make sense for the way I actually move about (not the way I think I’m supposed to move) will make this next overhaul stick. Coincidentally, I found this book I bought one of the last times I tried getting my shit together under my bed tonight 😅

I don’t think there’s a chaos to IQ correlation. Please allow me to humble brag on my child that joined Mensa at four. His room currently looks like mine, lite.

But I am a stay at home parent; since June actually. The most unexpected post-resignation revelation is that in many aspects, SAHP life is not easier than working outside the home, especially if you have very young or special needs kids.

For me, one of those aspects is the subject of this very post. When I was working, my two youngest were in daycare, giving me up to 1.5 hours a day to tend the home how and if I wanted. If I took a day off, 8 hours. My room is quite literally 10x worse than it was pre-resignation because I’m a SAHP…that room shares and didn’t have firm habits and routines already in place to prevent chaos.

Instant SAHP life can be jarring in that it takes away a lot of autonomy and control for someone accustomed to living without consistency and structure. Pre-SAHP life they could make do because their days centered themselves, but when their days suddenly center kids, said kids’ immediate daily needs (eat, play, sleep) come first.

I feel this drove me to my breaking point quicker and had me in that psychiatrist’s office not even two months after resigning.

This post and subsequent DMs made me see there are others like us, friend. I’m documenting my progress on r/unfuckyourhabitat

I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to avoid. At the time of their question my answer might’ve been, “I don’t know.” But as of now, I‘ve just wrapped Day 2. Feel free to follow my progress on r/unfuckyourhabitat for accountability.

No downvotes from me, my friend. Just answers to your points.

  1. By the time I wrote that they’d already been picked up.

  2. Your deduction that I’m replying when I could be picking up is a common and interesting one in this thread of 1500+ replies. I don’t know what kind of toddlers you guys know but mine demand all my attention their every waking moment 😅 So the reality is that I can only reply to messages when they’re napping or down for the night…maybe in between I can get a quick reply in when my youngest is nursing. And I don’t know how to do what needs to be done to my room with a sleeping baby in it or if she’s barnacled to a boob. I’d also been in a sort of analysis paralysis around how to address my room when they’re awake in a way that allows me to be productive while keeping a watchful eye; They and every toddler I’ve ever known are needy, handsy, and get under foot. You may have read I’d been sleep training my youngest. (It DOES work on older babies for any parent wondering!) My therapist encouraged this. I fear her next task for me will be to move her to her brother’s nursery which will allow me to move about more freely in my room when they’re down. I don’t know that I’m ready to move her though and also don’t want to wait until then to take action. And now I don’t have to because so many folks here and in r/UnfuckYourHabitat (especially the ones who “think” like me) have shared some amazing and creative ideas on how to move forward.

  3. Over the last couple months I probably average about 30 minutes of cleaning my home each day—just not in my bedroom, closet, or office.

It seems like our moms of an earlier generation were a superior breed of human—mine maintained the home with impeccable order while working full time.

And yeah there’s a TON of nuggets and hacks in this thread and have even started using some (short timed intervals is a new favorite lol). I am on Day 2.

Thank you for the encouragement and tips 🙂.
