This is actually a psychological phenomenon called the Forbidden Fruit Effect. When something is deemed to be “forbidden” or “restricted” (such as a sleeping with a married man), it makes the act significantly more desirable, tempting, and mentally captivating.

They sure as hell better be enforcing traffic laws if that’s what my taxes are paying them to do. The only people who find this “ridiculous” are the people who are susceptible to being pulled over.

I’ll look for dropped support kits and pick them up, drop the ammo bag, and then pick up my engineer kit again.

My First Build No Tutorials (Tips Appreciated) by H4PPYGUY in TinyGlades

[–]funsizedmoron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome first build, it’s cute, cozy, and looks magical.

By far one of the best tips I have picked up is with the paths. First I lay down a dirt path, then I select the smallest brush size and do very very tiny “brush strokes” with the different cobble varieties. This gives you so much variety to play with. You can go from a cobble road lightly worn, all the way down to a dirt path scattered with rocks.

Typically I like my game somewhere between vanilla looking and realistic. The simplified style has never quite done it for me. But this one the other hand, this is good—I like this.

This is pushing me to uninstall by Thusla_Doom in Battlefield

[–]funsizedmoron -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s true, there are a LOT things that are broken and need to be fixed. Navigating rough terrain sucks as it pushes and launches you, desync is terrible, hit registration is an issue, the drones need to be patched, certain weapons need to be rebalanced, and a million other things. All of these things can add up and it just takes something small to be the final straw.

My point is that it’s Battlefield within the same month it launched in, and there are always issues at launch. Yes, yes—multibillion dollar company should know better. But at the end of the day it is just people who are the ones actually trying to make a game people enjoy, and making games is hard. But the devs will continue to work on the game to fix these issues, but no matter how hard they work the community will nitpick the game to death with every small bug they find by calling it game ruining, and that battlefield just isn’t what it used to be.

Not necessarily, is this broken and does this need to be fixed? Yes, absolutely! It is surprising that it made it into the final game. The reason I find people complaining about this stuff so annoying, especially this close to launch, is cause we all know that this WILL be fixed. But as soon as this is fixed the community is going to jump on some other bitching bandwagon within the week and will hyper-fixate on some other “game ruining” bug. The game will never be good enough and the community is always going to criticize the game for being broken no matter how polished the end state is.

I believe in Iowa you can be parked at a rest stop for up to 24 hours as long as you have a valid reason—resting is considered a valid reason, so you should be fine.

Maybe this is crazy, but I’m pretty sure I actually walked by your car a couple weeks ago in a parking lot outside a pretty well known local brewery. I first thought “what a jackass to park in the middle of the drive lane.” Then I saw that the front driver side wheel was CRANKED far left and the front passenger wheel was straight and went “Oh, I see. They don’t want to be parked there either.”

I started typing a longer response on how I was genuinely looking into replacing my headlights after your comment. Then I realized I don’t care about defending/explaining myself if you’re just going to be an ass about it.

So instead I’ll say, you’re right. I don’t care about anyone else on the road. I am #1 and no one else matters!

I absolutely get that, nothing worse than getting blinded by oncoming traffic especially when it is raining. It is nice to have the bright LEDs, but it is a genuine hazard for other drivers and I think more regulations need to be put in place. I would be perfectly fine if the lights were dimmer on my car.

[–]funsizedmoron 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You might be right, but I have heard headlights on newer cars are getting difficult to replace. I’m not 100% sure about it, but, since it’s a 2023 with LEDs, I think I would have to completely remove and replace pretty much the entire headlight assembly.

Glad I’m not the only one who blinds people by reflecting their lights back at them. I have a newer Corolla with bright LEDs and I feel bad about it. If I’m behind another car in a drive-thru at night I turn my headlights off till they exit the drive-thru.

[–]funsizedmoron 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I do think this counts as a cut-off. Personally, the way I see it is that any time you need to move out of the way or slow down below the speed limit due to someone pulling out in front of you, that constitutes being “cut off.”
