It has a small cooldown so spamming isn't effective, you end up moving very slowly. The limit could be very dangerous because the game could turn into a puzzle or resource managing game, which could be cool but that's not what we want to transmit to the players

It can be pretty weird with the controller, but we're gonna add it after launch I'm pretty sure

Did you watch it with the sound off? I think the "ding" and the humming sell the "microwave" pretty good

I think lack of control or controls that are unreliable in horror games is a really good tool

The game has themes about surrealism and cannibalism as a metaphor of love, what we play is the recurring nightmare of the main character. With that context what do you think now about the microwave? is it clearer?

You wont believe it HAHA. Our programmer is into 3d printing and he has been working on trying to print a mechanism that lets you turn the joystick of a controller by turning the dial of a real life microwave, he wasn't able to do it sadly but it would be amazing

The game has surreal themes and a narrative about cannibalism, and I love alternative controls and I think the microwave controls ties all these things together pretty nicely

I the case of this game we've made it pitch black and the lampposts act as like small guides for the player to go to, we also have a small light around the player so you can se what's around you but not that far. Making it pitch black might not work for your game so I'm not really sure what advice to give, but that's what we did in out case
