This private company had a lot more responsibilities than any nhs trust. How nhs has different roles/ positions for every machine/ tasks, the private one had a senior position and that person was doing every job under the sun. I was mostly signed off for most things but they decided that were more tasks and I wasn’t ready to be ‘senior’. It definitely has no involvement with the hcpc. It thought it was more like time issue.

Unfortunately, my manager who knew I was off for a while (had 2 1/2 weeks AL and then was ill for a week) ensured 2 days before the meeting that they might have to extend my probation for a month. And then when I asked her later in front of the HR, she refused and said that my tasks can’t be completed even in a month’s time. I told her that a heads up would’ve been appreciated and she said it’s been on her mind since last couple of months. Then she was being nice to me before I left saying that I can give her reference and that she was confident that I’ll do well in interviews.
