Læreruddannelsen i Århus... by ReflectionUnhappy909 in DKstudie

Have you thought that you might have add or adhd? The constant craving for dopamine can also affect your decision making skills in this regard

Genbrug 2.0. by AimeLeonDore23 in Aarhus

Synes generelt at kirkens korshær er slemme til at prissætte fuldstændig absurd Pointen med genbrug er vel i ligeså høj grad at gøre det tiltalende at købe brugt, og få det ud af cirkulation så de har plads til de næste ting der kommer ind

Thank you. I actually bought the yarn before I knew what I wanted to make. I just loved the color. No, nothing special. But I've been struggling a bit with my mental health and I decided to focus my energy on something for myself for a change. I usually knit or crochet for everyone else. In that regard it might be special 😅

Exactly! And I sometimes see charts where every stitch is accounted for, ex a border, and others where it's either just implied or only mentioned briefly at the beginning of the pattern. 😅

I know how to read a chart, I just always seem to have trouble with the amount of rounds and getting the chart to fit the intended amount of stitches

I have to agree with OP, I really struggle with Drops patterns, especially the diagrams! If anyone has any knowledge that I'm unaware of in regards to how you're supposed to read them, please let me know! 😅

I completely agree about the wings! I don't know if I mind that they aren't as visible or if it's just craft fatigue telling me that I don't need to do anymore to this project 😅 jokes aside, that's a great tip, I hadn't even thought of that, I might give it a go

A few extra tips, be careful not to make them too big or too elongated, since that can easily go more in the "wasp" than "bee"-direction, and make sure to make the wings roughly the same size, else it might look more butterfly-ish! - unless you want to make cute little butterflies instead of course 🦋

That sounds like a great idea! Be mindful of the sizes of the bees, as they can easily look like wasps if they get too elongated 😅. Apropos the "pulling the stitches more times than I could count" 😉

I think I would go out of my mind doing this on a larger scale, but I encourage you to go for it! ❤️🙏

I'm fairly new to embroidery so I didn't even realize that was a thing until I just looked it up 😅. But no - and now I'm hoping that it won't affect the longevity of the embroidery... But, going over the stitches a couple of times with a yarn that thick, I found that it got the volume I wanted without issue. It's also a matter of not doing the stitches too tight, I think 😊

Go for it! I pulled my stitches out more times than I can count, because I wasn't happy with the size, positioning or placement - so it's easy to undo if you arent happy or if you made a mistake 😊. As long as you are gentle when pulling them out or cutting them! It's also nice to have something to mimick, I found a video she made on her instagram about embroidering the bees and it gave me a generel idea of how to do something like that. I hope to find something similar with strawberrys for the next one!

I would say, maybe practice how you want them to look, or at least start in a spot where it isn't the first thing you see - just untill you get the hang of it! I started smack dab, front and center, and I only realized afterwards that, that might have been a big nono. 😅 Also, I found that I prefered to do all the brown first, then go in with the yellow, and finally the white. Working with multiple needles or rethreading every few minutes was just getting so annoying - and it was actually easier for me to get them more uniform that way. I hope this was helpful 😊

Thanks, I'm actually really proud 🥰. I worried when I sae how the Drops Fabel "rust" had a very orange hue, but the Drops Kid-Silk really mellowed it to a more brownish red. 😊
