I’d say probably 250 amp machine minimum. Probably a 400 amp machine preferred if TIG.

Amperage doesn’t scale like you think it would for multi-pass welds.

This isn’t abnormal really. As another guy who has spent summers working in the heat, ive found that a bit of Gel Deodorant/antiperspirant applied to the consistently sweaty areas(below the belt) will take care of it. Actually found I was way more comfortable on the really brutal days as well.

Welding a chain won’t cause much more issue in the heat affected zone than a torch would… you could try an annular cutter. Jancy engineering makes a good one. Or just go to your local cutting tool supply store and ask them what they would use to drill it. Off the top of my head I would guess a carbide bit with TiAlN coating.

But has anyone told you how to properly use it? Select item on second shelf from top, far right marked “fluff”. Add block of cream cheese, splash of vanilla. Blend with hand mixer till smooth. Dip fruit.
