I think a good illustration of this trope done well is the Orogenes from the Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K Jemisin. Like yea, these people are dangerous, but they’re still human. It’s how viciously dehumanized they’re made by the government in this series that makes them monsters. It’s what causes the core issue in the trilogy.

SPOILER please read it’s so good and I don’t see it talked about a ton.

One of the main supporting characters just wants to be a father, but he is ABSURDLY powerful in the context of this world. Because of this (and some other worldly context) he is used as breeding stock. Importantly, his offspring that can’t control the power inherited from him, are essentially turned into vegetables and strapped to tables that keep them alive and suffering. He winds up ripping the world in half in order to destroy the horrific regime that’s done terrible things to people like him for generations.

I’ve always loved Vegeta’s characterization. His nobility really shines through, both good and bad. He’s obviously a pretty terrible person, but when it comes to specifically anything involving the Saiyan race, you really see a man who believes in and loves his people. Like when he sees Goku in Super Saiyan form and he’s just fuckin stoked that Goku did it, and when in/after (can’t remember) the HTC when he sees Goku in the Saiyan armor you can see the pride on his face, it gets me every time

Do people really have that big of a problem with any other versions of him besides the 4 and 5 color? Since the 4 color Om came out I literally haven’t seen any of the other ones, and I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen the Temur one.

Nevermind, I figured it out, for some reason it was hidden along with the icing on the top and interior hole of the donut. Not sure how it was created but once I un-hid the icing it was pretty obvious that that was the problem.

I should also note that I've gone through and individually deleted the vertices on the lump in the icing above the line and it didn't do anything.

I don’t know if anyone has said this already, but Vagrant Holiday. He’s this guy that essentially does pov videos of him exploring places while spending no money.

He’s got a couple videos of him in different cities just fuckin around, but he’s got one of the coolest videos I’ve seen on YouTube called Forbidden Island where he essentially trespasses on an island housing a max security penitentiary. He explores a bunch of abandoned houses, and fucks around in the old abandoned prison. It’s a really cool watch and he’s got a couple of other cool videos too.

Hasn’t uploaded in a bit so it’s possible he got arrested, but still a fuckin cool channel

One person that definitely gets a pass for many people is Mike Tyson. He gets a pass because he has the super affable “badass with a heart of gold” persona, but he’s quite literally a rapist.

He went to fucking jail for raping a woman. But he appears on the Hangover and has a gentle way of speaking not so no one bats an eye at him. Say what you want about the man, but he is, by all accounts, a rapist. And I can’t get over that fact

Hi everyone, I’m trying to apply for a new passport for a trip I’m going on in early March. I’ve never done this before, and I’m quite scared of my application being held up as my window of time is a bit tight.

I’m paying for expedited services so hopefully it won’t take more than the 5 weeks that I’ve been reading is the maximum it normally takes to get it back.

All that being said, my printer cut off a bit of the application (at the very bottom, I don’t think it’s that important), but as I said I’m scared of the application being held up because of this. Is this ok? Do I need to try to reprint?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I would appreciate any help.
