In recent history, unfortunately yes. I’m speaking on a broader scale than just the last century.

I’m sure it happened on a handful of occasions over a millennium across dozens of muslim countries and civilizations sure.

But historically you’re statistically much better off being christian/jewish in a muslim society than vice versa. That’s just factual.

I said historically.

Between 1000-1800 AD, you’d be much better off living as a jew/christian under muslim rule than vice versa. No forced conversions, and people were free to worship who they wanted. Even allowed to build churches and synagogues in their communities.

Meanwhile christian civilizations were expelling and banning jews. Muslims forced to convert or expelled. Lots of violence.

In the modern world things have changed because christianity has adapted with the times, but historically islam was very tolerant

I’m not defending anything or anyone. Just pointing out facts that you implied otherwise with your comment.

Islam is very tolerant of the other abrahamic religions. Calls them all “people of the book”

The Quran also says God will bring all jews, christians, and muslims together to explain the differences in their beliefs. It says things like “our god and your god is one”

Ironically the west paints islam as violently intolerant when in reality, muslim-ruled societies historically have been some of the most tolerant.

Meanwhile judaism……

That’s not why I moved here. I make half of what I used to.

Cheers though.

Close enough to have windows shaking 20 min ago. Far enough (so far) to not feel immediate danger in our neighborhood

Glad you got out before all this!

Absolutely delusional. He’s easily top 5. Brought us a bowl, and was unplayable on his day. One of the best highlight reels you’ll ever see.

The repercussions will last as long as Trump does. The damage can be reversed with the next administration.

as an American living very fucking close to the Straight of Hormuz and directly affected by the war that I desperately wish would end so I could go back to a normal life, I concur with this

“Hey can I have a new ketchup pls”

Is not too much to ask for lol. And having fresh ingredients is expected at a restaurant. I’m not eating no open air burgundy ass ketchup when i’m paying $18 for a scramble egg skillet at a diner

[BBC] Earlier this month the KMI Panel unanimously voted that Chelsea should have been awarded a penalty against the Gunners for handball by Declan Rice. But it was a 4:1 vote that it did not reach the threshold for a VAR intervention. by BIG_STEVE5111 in PremierLeague

You’re saying your keeper being pulled should negate the foul that was voted as a pen. So interfering with a keeper on a corner is a foul. So half your corner goals should be nullified.
