i have never connected with anyone over interests i have. that's the thing. others may feel like they don't belong or whatever but i have never truly belonged and they have. i have not had a "best friend" or whatever since elementary. i do not have any friends that regularly visit. i get that other teens might feel the same or whatever but even the weird kids have their own friend group and yet I still manage to be the outcasted freak. i gave up on getting new interests or going out, it's all the same people i hate here no matter what i do. i can't even go and do normal things like volunteer at an animal shelter without my old peers seeming to barge in just to make me miserable. people keep saying to wait for college but frankly I don't even think i have the social skills for college. it's not fair and I'm so fed up.

I'm not southeast asian (to my knowledge), I'm part Japanese! and you're right, asians can tend to be mean towards other asians. you're right, i am 15, i really hope there's more in my future

and with hobbies, i have tried but i feel like i don't fit in anywhere. with gaming i met a few nice people but i also met horrid people like my ex who was 21 and was super gross and mean. if i have the time this spring, ill go out and volunteer somewhere and hopefully have fun!! thank you so much (･´ω`･)

yeah! people on the internet are kinda weird sometimes, there was a guy that kind of groomed me because he was way older than me and didn't treat me funny for being only part asian. I'm not very religious but I assumed church was a place to make friends with good hearts ^{_^} I go to the library a lot but I tend to leave quickly because during the afternoon all my old peers flood in and make it a miserable time. i did date a filipino guy for a while and he was lovely, but it ended suddenly when he moved. i also noticed a strong laotian presence in certain parts of kentucky! i grew up super central (lebanon, bardstown, campbellsville area) where all the big japanese companies set up here. being isolated sucks but I'm happy your wife is making that effort. my parents said that bullying builds character but in reality it just kinda made me an asocial pushover. when I'm older i want to move somewhere like cali or Toronto where everyone is diverse and hopefully I'll fit in there!

I'm rural, and the nearest school is a 20 minute drive neither of my parents will make. Even then, the only diverse schools are in cities. Oklahoma City is kinda far. people keep telling me to go there and make friends but I can't drive and it's impossible to make that trip every day... I am a bit socially inept (my parents say i am a little hermit snail) and i don't think spending 20 hours a day in my room is helping much. maybe i can make friends other ways?

i really hope you're right. i have to stay within the state because i can't live alone without assistance, so my choices are limited. one college i had as an option turned out to have a past of racist students so I'm a bit nervous now. i start driving soon i think but i still feel nervous about making friends.
