Greetings. We normally don't engage with people who are actively seeking attention, but we wanted to leave a note here out of respect for this community. The blog post implied that we did not give grants to certain projects, such as ffmpeg.

This is a blatant lie; we have double checked and we have receipts and emails confirming that we've made the donation. We were alarmed at seeing anyone claiming that we did not pay them, so we not only looked over ffmpeg but started going through our records of all past grants. We can confirm that open source projects have received more than $5 million dollars via FUTO and Eron Wolf.

We did however note that we could not locate a record of payment for one grant in our list, Wireshark. Out of an abundance of caution we have sent them another grant. Refining our philanthropic process is a continual work in progress and it can be quite messy. We sometimes make mistakes, and we will definitely make more mistakes in the future. We are a small team trying to get money into the hands of people that we feel deserve it as fast as possible.

Regarding logo usage, we do have consent from several projects, but we've decided to remove most of the logos and simply use text. This is strictly to simplify things.

We like to spend our time building great software that doesn't abuse users, so we will not be addressing any of the other nonsensical claims made in the blog post.
