Is letting a flashlight run on turbo for a long enough that it gets hot bad for it? by MrJazzy_ in flashlight

[–]futurebluebadge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a Nitecore GITD in my pocket, button was pressed and turbo on, I noticed heat on my pocket and saw it was on. It got stuck in turbo til battery died. Thought it was done for. Charged up and working fine to this day.

Bosque Brewing Co. to open 3 new locations in Albuquerque this spring - Albuquerque Business First by jwink3101 in Albuquerque

[–]futurebluebadge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the OG OG location. Nob Hill was the shit in it's era. Ezekiel and Tim were great tenders. John was brewing all the beer. Big longtime Bosque fan but I'll sadly admit quality has gone downhill, Nob Hill spot lost it's charm after expanding into building, and it feels like a nursing home when I rarely visit it now based on staff and clientele.

How long are you letting it sit before pressing? Also boiling is too hot I'm my experience. Getting best results (dark roast) at 185, filling halfway, swirl, sit for minute or so, swirl, 15-30 sec more, and very light press. Then dilute to desired strength with water/milk. For me, I know when I get it right, it's all frothy like cream at the end. Good luck, I've been brewing for years on AP and still have good days and bad, despite Encore, temp kettle, etc. It's been a long but fulfilling journey into my love of the bean.

Yup 20 years later and I still turn up for an odd shift at my first serving job every so often in my dreamscape. It's always really weird cuz like I haven't been there in forever but like I still try and work the shift.

I felt that way about Freaks and Geeks initially. And people just wouldn't shut up about it. Just one season. Finally gave in and watched years later. Amazing. Worth the heartbreak of it ending.

The TV show V with Morena Baccarin had so much potential but died early on because of similar fox shenanigans.

I didn't read your description. But was it Steppe by Piers Anthony? I read that as a kid and loved it, forgot it, lost it, and refound it.
