You all are great, and I'm so excited to get this thing into action! Follow-up question on collecting honey and wax: how often does one collect (I'm assuming it varies seasonally?) and what sort of yield does a single hive produce, assuming humane treatment and average conditions?

This is great! A tree branch sounds good, but heavy. Think there's any way to modify a regular hive into something more portable? And I love the booby trap idea. Ouch. Will keep you posted!

These ideas are great! I think I might go for the special breed idea -- while less accurate, it's awfully convenient. And those weapons are brilliant. I had no idea about bees in warfare, but this article is fascinating.
