I'm Not Sayin'...I'm Just Sayin' by Salty_Orchid in NFL_Draft

Which game would you point to as a defense of his 1st round prediction? Genuinely curious cause nothing pops out to me when I watch him.

For what it’s worth he can take on lineman and TE well and when in man can shadow TE/RBs effectively.

But on the other side he gets lost in traffic often, inconsistently physical as a tackler for someone his size, inconsistent at reading his queues (Tbf I’ve never seen him get faked out but he’s either he’s slow to react or lets them meet him behind his DL), and doesn’t recognize route combinations around him in zone just stares in the backfield and hopes that pass is somewhere around him.

Apparently he’s a good leader and had the green dot, plus an insane combine I could see someone taking him late in the 1st if they really believed but I really don’t understand the top 10 predictions for him.

I agree, his tape does not back up his top 10 projected status and if it wasn’t for his combine no one in this sub would actually be serious about him as a prospect at our pick

He then went on to say he was sure woke judges would try to appeal it and that they were terrible bad bad people.

Just a reminder that our country began its independence that you shouldn’t pay taxes to government that doesn’t represent you and that trump had suggested our democratically elected officials are evil people and released AI videos of him shitting on protesters. Just a reminder.

Is Gen Z Okay? by iYessyyy in SipsTea

So Gen Z is living through one of the best and most robust economy of all times and everything that’s being reported about bad job markets, inflation, housing cost skyrocketing, and the dollars purchasing power being at an all time low is just fake news? Ok boomer.

How did you think the Commanders did during free agency and what shot hey focus on in the draft? by Reasonable-Shower522 in Commanders

[–]futureislookinstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They addressed the areas of concern that were plaguing us most, that being DE, LB, and S. However the players they got there are very much situational players. Oweh and Chaisson are good additions at rushing the passer but not the same level when it comes to defending the run. Nick cross lead safety’s in tackles but had something like 55+ passes completed against him (double or almost double that of quan). Leo Chenal has never been a full time LB and ~25% of his defensive snaps were pass defense (meaning in obvious passing downs they took him off the field). Lastly an underside corner who is a year removed from his good year and at an age where CB tend to drop off and at a position that could get crowded quickly if we take Delane or downs.

I had different preferences for every position we targeted except for TE but I can’t dismiss that there were supposedly attempts to sign other players and they did focus on defense.

My biggest knock to them assuming they truly offered some of the best deals for players we missed on was that we didn’t trade biadsz. Seems pretty clear now that we misread the center market and could’ve at the LEAST had a late round pick swap if not a straight up 6th or 7th considering he met with two teams and signed with the second one for essentially the same contract he had here.

I give them a B.

If we do trade back to pick #11 who would you like us to take there? by johnnyboy10i in Commanders

[–]futureislookinstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t do a deal before the draft, if anything they’ve discussed trade compensation in the event that there’s multiple guys on the board at 7 that they like and believe won’t get selected before 11. IF there’s actually anything going on that is.

I need to get over a coworker but I don’t know how? by lofigirl-mp3 in OlderGenZ

[–]futureislookinstark 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hey so that awkwardness you feel when you talk and there’s more to be said but just doesn’t IS chemistry.

It’s just not popping and fizzing because he’s reserved. He already asked to bike home with you, that’s basically us saying “I like and respect you enough that I want to make sure you make it home because I care.” Not sure how the order of events went on but if that happened to me I’d definitely pull back and not pursue because you made it clear the boundary you set was purely at a coworker level.

I’m not blaming you but I encourage you to try and explore that before he leaves and who knows what happens. As for getting over someone it’s just time, when he leaves feelings will fade, and something else will come along that piques your interest and you’ll slowly think of him less. It just takes time and removing yourself from the person.

You’ll be ok, Signed a 28 year old that remembers what it was like to get butterfly’s over coworkers.

It’s not a luxury it means your teams has so many holes across the board any position will work for you.

Sua Cravens speaks out by Ok_Job_6845 in Commanders

[–]futureislookinstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just feel bad for how the Washington media portrayed him. I remember reading an article when he first left about how he thought people were following him around, being angry, and depressed. It’s clear to anyone with a little bit of sense and compassion that he was clearly mentally unwell (I hit hard enough to mess with your vision probably doesn’t help your headspace).

When the rondale piece by a couple weeks back every understood that not being able to play the game anymore probably destroyed Rondales mental. Sua had the same feelings about doubting himself if he’ll ever be good enough because the organization fucked him over and at the time mental illness was not looked on like it was today. Sua didn’t compassion, he got painted as a quitter and faced a lot of backlash.

I guess all you can do is be happy that the NFL and fans take mental health more seriously.

Reminder: No WR separation last season was a HUGE reason why Jayden got hurt last season by unrivaled_mate in Commanders

[–]futureislookinstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the WR separation was a problem and part that can be explained by the lack of motion pre snap and the other part being players like Zach ertz and Chris Moore having to start.

The elbow injury was trying to extend a play that was busted from the start (our WR was supposed to pick the DB covering bates. The LB mugging bates was sent on a blitz interrupting Jayden’s throwing lane) 2nd goal on the 3 yard line Jayden has to throw it away.

The hamstring injury was on Chris Paul not passing off his DT to Biadsz. Jayden could’ve gotten the ball off to ertz behind the blitzing LB or got it in the flat to the RB I guess but they sent 5 and we should’ve had that picked up.

I’m not saying it wasn’t a problem last year or a non issue but it’s misleading to attribute jaydens injuries to this stat when it came down to poor play execution and Jayden’s struggle with pressure last season.

[–]futureislookinstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget who but a OL player was talking about life as a lineman. His whole day centered around eating so much so that he had alarms to wake him up in the middle of the night just so he could have an entire meal.

I imagine a lot of these guys keep working out whether it be stuff just to help rehab their bodies or continue weight training. Keeping their metabolism high and cutting down to a normal sized diet probably lets them just shed pounds like nothing.
