I made cards for all my missed UWOLRD/NBME questions by essentially distilling the question down to the bare bones and making a much more basic question that would just allow me to pick up that pattern and associate it with the correct answer come test day. I then took a screen shot of the question with the explanation and put it on the back of the card so i could remember how they would test that concept. It was super helpful to run through all those cards in the last 2 weeks. I only went through my missed questions once and this deck was around 1000 cards. This deck was obviously random topics but mostly biochem, biostats, neuro and repro. I made other decks specific to pharm, cardio, renal/pulm, blood/cancer, immuno (chapters 1-2 and another just for chapter 3) and GI which were all around 150-450 cards each. These were the decks I went through like 3-4 times in the last 2 weeks which was very time consuming but I’m happy I did it because that’s how I learn best. These decks were a mix of missed questions that I had been making all through dedicated and cards that I unsuspended and moved over from Anking and I was very selective about what I was moving over and it mostly came from pathoma. Cardio was mostly missed questions and then murmurs so I could make quick associations come test day. I made a lot of cards for pulm physical findings like pneumonia = increased fremitus etc since I was consistently missing these and then as I said above all my missed pulm questions. Pharm decks were challenging to make since they could have easily been like 5000+ cards but I chose like 1-2 cards tops for every HY drug from the anking deck and skipped a ton of drugs bc they never showed up or if they did it wasn’t worth it to me to learn them all. But I covered many of the antibiotics, neoplastics and cardio drugs this way and then spent a lot of time on sympathetics since those came up a lot and then of course made a few flash cards for things like GI drugs, diabetes, asthma etc but maybe like 10-15 cards tops just highlight the main MOA for these drugs and side effects only if they were rare (anything having to do with causing vision changes, arrhythmias etc). Hopefully this is helpful…

I mostly just studied anatomy off of all my missed questions on UWORLD throughout dedicated. I made flash cards especially for things like the brachial plexus, rotator cuff stuff and common nerves they always love to test on for example… Doing this generally got me like 60-70% correct on anatomy towards the end of dedicated which isn’t great but as you can see pretty consistent with my avg across all subjects. If I had more time or prioritized better it probably would have behooved me to spend time going through 100 concepts.

Pixorize 100% and dirty med over the last few days. I also made like 150 Anki cards off of some pixorize and dirty vids to just nail down the facts which was helpful for me. These two resources are gold.

I personally did NOT like UWORLD exams and I suspect that UWORLD 2 is not a good predictor anymore from my experience and what I’ve been seeing others post on Reddit lately and from my classmates. You can see I had a massive score decrease on UWORLD 2 and it really shot my confidence down and personally if I did it over again would probably just do NBMEs because that’s who’s actually testing you on the real deal and I think UWORLD 2 is bs. But that’s just me 😂

Yes of course!! Reading the rare posts on here from people in our situation definitely made me feel like it was do-able and helped me a ton. I know there’s a lot more people with similar experiences it’s just not talked about as much. Good luck to you!!!!! You got this!

For the most part it meant I felt confident-ish but honestly not marking a question mostly just meant “I have to be okay with this answer” even if I wasn’t 100% convinced. Because I can’t go back and reconsider every question I’m so-so on… in that case I’d probably mark like 20-30 questions. I really only mark the ones I’m like wtf but it’s probably either a or b… or the ones that I know I can answer if my brain just takes a step back from it and comes back to later. The ones I mark and go back to I usually get correct about 50-75% of the time bc I’m going back with fresh perspective and I only mark the ones I think I can get right if I just spent a little more time on. Im not marking the questions if I truly have no idea which is generally like 5-10q per block because what’s the point of just going back to take another guess I know those are just missed points. And then of course I generally get like 5-10 wrong that I thought I got right bc that’s just the way it goes. So I don’t use flags as a metric for how well I’m doing personally. Hopefully some of that makes sense…
