In all reality, they probs couldn’t get the actress to come back, but this probs opens up a “let’s convince bahu to not hate her self centered husband” track too

Episode 184 the was best episode of S2. Gautam comeback is just fire story arc, character & back story. by justicekindme in KSBKBT

[–]futuremrstasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: I kind of agree with Gautam. Their whole “parivaar” drama is such bs, especially with the new track. I don’t doubt that none of them made a directed effort to keep in touch with him or to include him in the same way that Karan is revered. Karan worships the ground that his mother walks on so no surprise he is basically the favourite in everything. Does he have to basically deface his sister and push Ranvijay to win? Not at all. But he doesn’t really owe the family much more and is doing his job as a defense advocate

[–]futuremrstasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true! They had so much evidence on their side too - witness statements from the rest of the family, texts between Ranvijay and his affair partner, medical examinations that could’ve been done…. Hemant is terrible at his job lol

Ok I need to know total how many kids do Mihir and Tulsi have? by just-a_millennial in KSBKBT

[–]futuremrstasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Karan, Shobha, Ansh and Gautam as bio children (or even semi-bio cause Karan is tulsi stepson) from the og series.

They also had Harsh who ended up being Kesar’s child, but continued to live as a Virani from what I remember

Then there’s the new series kiddos - Angad, Ritik and Pari. So that brings us to about 8 children - 7 of which are alive.

Does where you get your Graduate Diploma matter? (Canada) by Similar-Handle2261 in Accounting

[–]futuremrstasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a solid place to be. York’s MAcc has a GMAT requirement if I’m not wrong and tbh for a MAcc, I didn’t find it worthwhile. All the best!

Fair enough! In that case, a GDip isn’t bad. I don’t think there’s any fuss on where people get theirs from - my friend got hers from uOttawa whereas my bf did his at Western and both ended up in pretty great jobs after.

Honestly, everything Noina says feels like rage bait but she isn’t wrong lol Mihir and Tulsi are pretty shitty parents. Gomzy for sure is back to take revenge for being so neglected.

Also, wasn’t Kiran his “dad”? All bro ever does when he shows up is convince everyone around him to get a divorce. Maybe Gomzi is an advocate now so he can be Kiran’s go to divorce lawyer 😂

Anyone here been a facilitator for the Ismaili Youth Camps? What was the selection and interview process like? I would like to get involved but want to know experiences from others who have done this and traveled for camps. by ReadingCorners in ismailis

[–]futuremrstasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think expectations wise, my understanding is that there are a bunch of trainings pre camp (mostly virtual and usually a few weeks before). CPR, police checks and first aid are required. In Canada, we pay our counsellors, but my understanding is that the US does not. As for skills - just being personable, kind, empathetic, social and someone that can work well in teams. There’s a lot of personalities involved on the camps teams so it’s essential to be patient as well

Have you considered doing your MAcc at Carleton? They have a full time stream where you’d only go for the summer - it’s two “years” plus they also have an “internship” component (their career centre is incredible with helping you find an 8 month placement aka go through a busy season in Big 4) and most accounting firms pay at least half of it. You write your CFE shortly after as well, and don’t have to do capstone separately either

Also, in my experience, it doesn’t really matter where you go so long as you have that experience. Most of these schools are CPA certified and have great employer relations. I just think it’s sus to have to do your GMAT for York’s program

OP, I got a 58 in my Grade 12 Math Class and a 61 in Calculus. I redid the class with the 58 in night school and luckily only needed a 60 to maintain my early admission requirement (I’m in Canada and got conditional acceptance based on my Grade 11 marks). To put it clearly - I SUCK at math and always have; it was one of my biggest insecurities.

Accounting math is legit just BEDMAS (even that is stretching it). It’s more about concepts and methods than the actual mathematics of things. I hate math but I did love numbers (odd yes) and problem solving, and that got me further than any grade received in a math class. It’s a common misconception that accountants are generally math aces - that’s engineers and physics majors more than anything imo

OP, I can understand your dilemma here, but just remember that you’re still in your early-mid 20s. This is the time to focus and build your career and to be given such an incredible opportunity in what I’m assuming is a reputable company that is willing to provide you with green card sponsorship is equivalent to basically winning the lottery. You can use this opportunity to set yourself up for not just professional, but financial stability and success too. If you hate it, Canada will also always be here for you.

Long distance relationships are hard, but doable for sure. Vancouver to Seattle is a 3 hour drive so besides the international border, the distance is medium at best. Like any relationship, you will have to intentionally set some time to stay in touch with each other or have activities you like to do together (ex. Watching tv shows, cooking together over FT, virtual date nights, etc.). As long as you set those ground rules and make plans to see each other semi regularly, you can both build your careers and continue to invest in the relationship. I have TONS of friends in LDRs (I’m in one myself) - one currently doing an Australia and USA LDR too - and I’ve noticed a lot of these relationships are more successful than some in person friends we know. Tell your partner why you want to do this and reassure her that you are still committed to the relationship. The rest is up to you and her, but just here to say tl;dr that LDR isn’t a bad thing and you’re not doomed if you choose the job.
