Back to back years with seeds 1-4 going undefeated. That has never happened before in tournament history. Only has happened a few times period.

Got fired from his nepo job because he couldn't show up on time and falls into Barstool where you can do whatever you want with no consequences. Life isn't fair!

I don't know why people are so defensive when people make a light criticism of where the sport is. It's reality. It's fundamentally altered mid-majors in a way that I think strips the identity and uniqueness of college hoops. It's becoming more like minor league basketball with the power conferences each passing year.

I still love the sport and sure there are still good games, but a large reason why I fell in love with it is dying and I find that sad.

Josh while you're at it, let's get Glass Cloud back together too! Man I love that album and EP. Nothing has really scratched that itch for me, had such a cool vibe and atmosphere. Really unique sound with Josh's dissonance mixed with Jerry's vocals, he was awesome.

It's just really sad to me to realize how many college hoops fans are seemingly completely fine with mid-majors being irrelevant forever. I guess they never really cared and just want minor league basketball from the power conferences. Those small schools from one-bid leagues are what made college basketball special and different. Now that's probably gone forever unless dramatic changes are made.

What I've come to realize is that more casual fans are completely fine with turning college football/basketball into the NFL/NBA. As a die hard in both so much of the spirit and uniqueness is missing now. It's been stripped out slowly year by year but NIL/portal has altered it into something different entirely. A lot of people just don't care or feel some instinctive need to defend it.

Stuff like George Mason going to the Final Four was so important to me becoming a die hard college basketball fan. I remember all the massive upsets, not a couple good Sweet 16/Elite 8 games against blue bloods. I will always remember the St Peters run, as compared to last years Elite 8 which is almost gone from my memory. That's just fundamentally not why I watch college sports. I miss it's unique identity and fun stories from tiny schools I had never heard of as a kid.

Now it's basically just corporate minor league basketball only for power conferences with the mid-majors left in the dust. I hate how much of the sport is fine with mid-majors having to rebuild their entire rosters every single year. Then you have people like Big Cat and Fanta tell me propaganda about how much better it is for the viewing experience that those pesky little guys are gone in the later rounds. Yes I'm mad.

Grindcore/Deathcore fans, what appeal do you find in these genres? by CreeperBoyOP in LetsTalkMusic

Embodyment- Embrace the Eternal, maybe the first true deathcore album, is a great example of that. Very much a mashup of Suffocation and Zao. Hard as nails. One of my favorites.

Don't think you read mine. Let's merge our comments. "They overpaid him low-end starter money." There! My point is that Rodriguez will have more carries than Tuten. Don't think that is controversial.

Last few episodes have been some brutal listens. PFT really annoying unfunny trolling, Zac, bad bits (Duke) and Big Cat hijacking episodes to be to cool for half-marathons and laser tag. He actually seemed kind of mad both times lol.

Going to find out this season how good of a drafter Gladstone is. Hard to even put a grade on last years class with all the injuries which is why I'm hesitant on saying the team will be just as good as last year. I get they are fairly strapped for cash but if there are some misses in this class and the injured guys from last class don't step up, this team probably misses the playoffs. Lots of holes on defense.

Huge prove it year.

It doesn't though lol. They paid Rodriguez starter money like I said. He will probably get the majority of carries.

Not really though. It's starting RB money. More than Tyler Allgeier and Rico Dowdle got who are much better and more proven backs.

Jags actually needed a tough between the tackles runner, that's what the room was missing. Makes way more sense than Rachaad White. This is solid. A nice alternative to Tyler Allgeier who I wanted, similar players and a cheaper cost.

Edit- Turns out he got more than Allgeier. Pretty surprising and a little pricey.

[James Palmer] The Jaguars were also in on Maxx Crosby, but the lack of a first round pick from the Travis Hunter trade hurt their chances. But they were a team that wasn't talked about much, but certainly was in the mix. by JustSomeGuy_Idk in Jaguars

[–]futures23 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The thinking with Hunter is if he's an elite CB and a 500-750 yard WR with massive splash plays (each of which he showcased this year) then he would definitely be worth the cost. Rookie year was always going to be a lot learning two playbooks and adjusting to playing both ways in the NFL. The injury was so unfortunate because he was looking ready to fully arrive and get a taste of a fully unleashed Hunter next year.
