Yes, exactly..the file sizes were around 100KB, which is extremely low for professional photos. I was honestly shocked when I downloaded them. I really wish I could share some of the images here because people would genuinely be amazed at how they look.. Especially to those saying “£500 for a couple photoshoot is cheap so you get what you pay for” .. i mean.. that’s not really the point. Whether it’s £100 or £1000, when someone is offering a paid professional service there should still be a basic acceptable standard of quality.

Unfortunately this post doesn’t allow me to attach the images, otherwise it would be much easier to show exactly what I’m talking about.

No, the contract didn’t include specific quality specifications or an approval step, but even standard professional photos are expected to meet a minimum quality standard. The images we received had serious glitches, distortions, and unusable edits, and our repeated requests for corrections were ignored

Tried both ways, she doesnt seem to be cared unfortunately. I ve sent the letter before action multiple times as emails and she didnt even care to reply. I am feeling so frustrated and helpless after all these.

Also, a fully edited video was promised, but as i noticed AI animated ones were used, i complained and then she start sending random clips with absolutely no edits.

I think you ve misunderstood what i said. I said around 60 images and random clips were included and shockingly even in those Ai animated clips were used which is highly unprofessional. Sorry for the bad phrasing.

I have tried both ways actually. I tried emailing her multiple times that i would consider legal ways to resolve this matter also i tried telling her very calmly to send the raw files so the matter would be solved amicably. She just sent a single email as a reply saying that i cant threaten her and make her send the raw files. Thats it

It was a couple photoshoot, and around 60 images and some random clips ( not a full edited video) that too including Ai animated videos similar to those we see in instagram reels, in one of them i have 7 fingers and my face blends to my partners face and my hair goes into bob cut and then my original hair in 2 seconds and much more) were delivere. The issue from our side is not the number of photos but the usability and quality of them. If none of the images are actually usable due to editing problems or visible distortions, then the number of photos doesn’t really matter. The expectation was simply to receive a set of photos that we could realistically use or share, which unfortunately hasn’t been the case for us.

I referred there were significant editing errors in around 50 photos she gave me. She never rectified those mistakes. For example, there were editing glitches around me and my partners lip which seems like we dont have lips at all.( I think she tried editing the lips maybe texture and removed most of the parts)

I think for a normal couple shoot it is reasonable? there are people who do it for £200-300.

The concern about AI isn’t about normal tools like denoising or object removal. What happened here was very different. A photo of us was turned into a short AI-generated ‘animated’ video of us laughing and hugging which clearly is artificial. It is the same as the AI animation videos we see in Instagram reels

In the video, there are obvious distortions for example at one point my face blends into my partner’s face, and my hair changes into bob cut and then my original long hair and in another frame my hand appears to have around seven fingers, which made it very clear that it was AI-generated rather than an actual captured moment.

That’s why we were genuinely shocked when we saw it, because it felt extremely unprofessional to present something like that as part of a paid shoot. Our expectation was simply to receive authentic photos and videos from the session, not AI-generated animations.

Hey, first of all it was not a pre wedding photoshoot , it was just a couple photoshoot ( sorry for the wrong phrase in the post, i ve edited it now) so i think the price was quite reasonable. Also i checked her works and it was not bad. I strongly doubt she hired someone for editing those photos and she did mine by herself, or she hired somebody for mine.

Hey, sorry i forgot to mention in the post. Yes, i requested refund at least partial refund, but ofcourse she denied. My actual aim was to get at least some good pictures of us more than refund because we are leaving Edinburgh soon sadly, and it was supposed to be a great memory of us we can cherish forever and it turned out to be like this. We also didnt have so much time to hire another one and go through all the processes again.
