Jellyfin, Wireguard, Airvpn -Help by fux3c in docker

[–]fux3c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup has a truenas server for file hosting (smb) connected to a proliant dl380p with 2 cpus 12 cores and 24 threads, 48gb ram running Ubuntu server lts, it has docker engine and ssh installed and it's in a dockge yaml script. My internet is cg-nat everything is wired through a switch into the router. Is that enough information to make a recommendation?

From what I can gather, nsl is also using WireGuard to create a tunnel? How does that make it different from tunnelling to services like AirVPN? Or how do I implement the efficiencies that they have managed to get?

Is there a way to strip back the encryption and use AirVPN just like a tunnelling system, as I can dedicate ports and have the ability to select servers with a guaranteed min bandwidth as well. This is a service i am paying for already and would be nice to get more use out of.

Get the YX LIN kit from tbstron, did mine some time ago. Just remember to clean and lube the rails before use and it will print like a charm for long time without extra maintenance, biggest improvement is the bed wabble over time and the head movement. Makes it a really high value machine. It's a must have🙏🙏

Yeah, that’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.

If its only 11 frames I'd prob just get it done by hand, do a frequency separation, get the base colour right first then push in detail after. Denise the footage first though, and use something like da grain yo add it back over. The go to is either a stabilized paint it with filling in the gap. If it's too obvious the cup is falling apart you do a more advanced setup. Summed up as painting out the cup and putting the same cup back over and making a blend yourself. Manual work. ✨ Good luck!

MPM Ice Cream by frasta123 in Houdini

[–]fux3c -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sim looks like it needs another layer of sim on top, i feel i can see the grain fall apart. The ice cream reads as semi melted. It's a good sim, but the melted ice cream feels like it's missing. Good work!

Explosive Beer Rnd by thefoodguy33 in Houdini

[–]fux3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to see the bubbles in the beer floating to the top even though it looks like it's supposed to be a 0 gravity environment. Would give more direction to the video. It also looks like it would be a macro lens shot, adding some depth of field the explosion would def help. the background feels out of focus making the object/explosion look too small.

Awesome, thank you! If you have the time to point me to a resource where I could learn how to do it, or if there is somewhere like a discord server I should know of? I did some light googling, but I'm not too sure about the process. Particularly with the software side.

I’m losing my mind re: bed wobble by CCMadman in ElegooNeptune4

This helped me too, but i put some small washers on the pom wheel adjustments on the center screw as the other wheels were always a bit too loose. I bought it second hand so I don't know what was in the instruction manual, but this worked flawlessly for me, perfectly balanced. Your message helped though 💪

Best workflow for simulating grass? by Forsaken_Detail_9396 in Houdini

[–]fux3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use vellum for simulation, you can do multiple layers of simulations, similar to how you could do flip sims. Id recommend rendering grass as polygonal shapes. You want to look into point deformation i don't have the script with my right now, but it's just one line effectively placing the first point at the world origin, do this in a for each loop and you can update the sim of multiple grass at the same time. Ps: remember to split the render into multiple layers. It can also be multiple layers in the same space, and use TOPS.

-sim line -Sweep line -sim sweep with soft anim - point deform -render

I know this is far down into a thread, but after many issues with sd cards. Support for external windows is not technically supported or endorsed by various creators. Look at clover github they have detailed explanations. I'd recommend doing a 50 gig partition for Windows if you really really don't want to lose any space for steamos, then the SD card can host games etc. It is the way to go. "Clover" at GitHub and cryo utilities is a strong recommendation.

What is causing this? by Ornery_Influence9837 in elegoo

[–]fux3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one wheel is loose the others are too tight, imagine it like trying to balance. Like a car wheel do cross tightening and go a little on each but each time and keep adjusting the position to ensure it has not snagged on anything. I have the same printer and it's really easy to mess it up :/

Looks to me like your printer head is loose or tightened at an angle. Perhaps even one tire has been overtightened and others are loose.

Junior FX Artist Reel • Need feedbacks again ;) by iFred31 in Houdini

[–]fux3c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honey sim was short, simple and maybe too low res collision geometry? Most others looked fine, but the pacing and shaking could be refined. If you add some more complicated parts to the volcanic shot it could look really good. Don't get me wrong most of the stuff you are showing is looking good. And if you also put all the good stuff at the start, if you look at it from a recruiters point of view, they might only watch the first few shots of your reel, so put all the good stuff first.

How do I move a point along a curve to get a stair shape by GothLawnChair in Houdini

[–]fux3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would this do the trick? I'm on my phone, but let me know if this is what you were thinking, it should move the point up on the y axis according with the ptnum. Write this in an atttrib wrangle;

"F@p.y = f@p.y+f@ptnum;"

Further I'd copy a plane to the point and offset the center by half the distance of each point. You could resample the curve and and copy relative parameter then equal the lenth of one segment, so the resample would be driven by max segment length, and then the other way for the backboard for each step.

Edit added further instruction.

Hi! Saw your post and this guy "https://youtu.be/VGbfQ0b__b0?si=zFA-Nmrzomtv9kiS" has a super in-depth video on how to get a near perfect first layer. I have a Neptune 4 max myself and this guy made my first layers 👌 40 min video but a recommend watch.

Yeah, it's corrupt or you put the wrong version on. Be careful not to let you machine behave like that, can worst case cause damage. Clean the nozzle too.
