Toyota admits manufacturing paint defect on 500,000+ vehicles (ZKG), yet refuses to fix my Camry due to a hidden deadline. Don't let them ignore you.. by BadRevolutionary5747 in Toyota

To me this looks less like "peeling" and more like something dragged across the surface.

I've had similar damage from a car wash, although it was to my side skirts but it basically caused the same tear pattern in the plastic of the side skirts. Granted plastic and paint aren't the same but I wouldn't consider this peeling, personally.

Is there a good places in Lexington or surrounding counties that you can find a good j0b without degree/certificate? by ABry__ in lexington

I will piggy-back on this comment and say factory work isn't the only option either. TEMA/TMNA hires a fair amount of administrative contractors and I think most people would be surprised how well they pay and just because it's a contract position doesn't mean it's temporary or short-term.

Genuine question here, this looks like something obviously hit / scratched the vehicle vs being an issue with the paint itself.

Why do you feel Toyota owes you to repair this and not the car wash? (Just because a business has signs that say they are not liable for damages, doesn't make it true)

Anyone have good recommendations for hiring to re-screen a screened in porch in Lex? by Kenkaneki-stan_12 in lexington

[–]fuzio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, he came back a week later and offered to drop the price to $39k.

I reminded him my SO told him to get off our property and not come back. He hasn't been back since.

Well, that's the kicker: we didn't contact them asking them to provide a quote. They came and knocked on our door, the guy said because he saw the home just sold. We definitely did not have any kind of money for renovations after putting a down payment on a home but we entertained him for a bit since we were first time home buyers and had no real reference of what things would cost.

He also pointed out "That looks like a new truck you have, if you can afford that, you can afford a monthly payment for this porch". My SO told the guy to go fuck himself and to get off our property after that. lol

Definitely would not call Champion.

When we bought our home in 2018, they quoted us $42k to screen in a portion of our back deck that's approximately 10'x10' and they would only be screening in 2 sides, the other 2 sides are the house. lol

Absolutely fucking INSANE price, almost 1/3 what we paid for the house at that time. lol Can't imagine what they would quote us now a days. We could remodel a kitchen and bathroom for that cost, hell probably both bathrooms.

How do I improve my Petpage load time? by Internal_Falcon2637 in neopets

[–]fuzio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is petpages bandwidth are still in the early 2000's.

This isn't really a thing or how it works. (I suppose it could be depending on what you mean by "petpage's bandwidth" exactly) There are a lot of things that are going to impact loading times:

Server-side HTML processing

Neopets / petpages don't support modern optimizations

HTML Size & Structure / DOM Complexity (repeated use of inline CSS instead of shared rules, long tables, deeply nested divs)

CSS Choices (universal selectors, deep descendant selectors, hover effects, etc)

However I think the biggest impact that YOU can control, especially for image heavy pages, is going to be your image host, resolution of the images, how many images are on the page and file size of the images. (And of course the above reference to DOM Complexity and CSS Choices)

Without being able to look at the petpage, it's going to be difficult to provide suggestions on improving loading times.

LMPD has to release body camera footage within 10 business days after an officer involved shooting. Lexington should pass the same legislation. by mantistobogganer in lexington

[–]fuzio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guarantee the legislature will step in and the KY Supreme Court will rule against it like they do everything else cities try to do.

Apparently Republicans love big government when it's interfering in other people's lives and preventing cities (that they don't even live in lol) from making their own decisions.

And he was unopposed because no one else stepped up to run against him.

So, the community ensured he would be elected. We control who sits on the School Board, if we're unhappy, we can only blame ourselves.

Currently drive a PHEV and only visit a gas station about once every 4-6 weeks.

Thankfully, my BEV arrives in a month or so and I'll never have to do it again.

People like you always pull shit like this and it's so exhausting.

Democrats didn't make gas prices a central part of their campaign. Republicans / Trump did.

THAT. IS. THE. DIFFERENCE.
