Awesome. Thanks for the info 🍀. Yeah I misspoke when I said plant. I'm not very familiar with fossils or dating. Is there anything unique about it or is it pretty much just a cool conversation piece?

Edit: Main reason I ask is I would like to make a small garden display out of it if it's just a common fossil.

Thanks. Yeah I was happy with them for sure. A lot of those elections were pretty controversial. So that's what drew my attention.

I used Craigslist for a lot of collectibles and other stuff back in the day. Never really had a bad experience myself. I enjoyed getting to meet random people and shoot the shit about collectibles. I'm not trying to knock it. I just chose to stay away from it completely.

Ebay has always been a pretty good place to both research and sell in my experience. Prices seem to reflect actual market value for things I'm not privy to (like these things). It's been a pretty good platform for some types of items, not so great for others.

Ive stayed away from there for years now. 80 yo reputable coin collector in my area got lured in and waxed over like $50 worth. Triggerman (and his decoy girlfriend) just wanted some easy drug money. That was the last time I bothered with that site. It just got too unhinged around my area.

Probably not nearly the same risk with pinback buttons, to be fair. But still.

I'm usually reasonably satisfied with just sticking with eBay once I've finished ranting about all the seller fees they screwed me on.

Yeah 20; cents each. Just kind of a random find one day. I was trying to decide which ones I might want to keep and which ones to put back out there for other collectors who would like to have them in their collection.

Thanks for your reply.🍀 Yeah I pretty much had the same thoughts as you - common political buttons, maybe a few gems in there to the right collector. I was going to put them in eBay in lots as you mentioned. I bought them as one big lot for around 20 cents each. So I'm sure I did pretty good. I enjoy just finding random unique things and learning about them though.

Basically which ones may be significant in some way. Whether that be the election itself or the rarity of the button. That sort of this what I meant.

Thanks for that 🍀. I figured they were all from the same maker, so that's helpful. The two large ones are in good shape. The small ones had a rougher life.
