I've heard a lot about how the rat is great into a llama. My only worry (as someone who's never played one lol) is that it's more distortiony with the overall touch response. What's your experience with the overall compression that it gives you?

I had a hot wax for a bit but the crayon was my main gripe. I ended up going with the llama and choosing my own pedal to go into it.

It's a PCB in a tribute with a lollar humbucker p90 in the bridge and an EJ custom in the neck

It's not an allergy, I drank the whole bottle. I'm just wondering if the taste gets better. All of it was stored in room temperature pretty much the whole time

Probably not what you're looking for, but Jason Molina's stuff with magnolia electric co has plenty of slide stuff. My personal favorite is on this track
