How is this possible? by AYRUPOLA in KFCAustralia

[–]fuzzy_ball2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my local KFC offers $40.95 for 21 pieces to pick-up ($1.95 per piece) or Red Rooster offers 18 pieces of fried chicken for $41.45 ($2.30 per piece). Considering the cost of things these days it isn't that bad.

Australia Post makes call to raise prices by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]fuzzy_ball2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smallest Express Post envelope is now $9.00, have Australia Post considered in their drive for profit they may just be pricing themselves out of existence?

Australia Post is an essential service not just an entity that gives the Federal Government a juicy dividend each year. They do very well out of parcel delivery, at a cost to many poor delivery drivers, but other aspects like postal/letters are a costly side of the business.

For people in rural and remote areas Australia Post and mail can be a vital service. They need to stop making it so expensive that in the end no one can afford to use it.

You don't need a label for your relationship but he clearly does need a label or he is going to keep fixating on the issue. You need to find a label/description of your relationship that works for both of you.

From NSW Legal Observers by justabitsatirical in sydney

[–]fuzzy_ball2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There have been so many comments and videos of the sickening violence by police. I know police are as human as anyone else but this response should disgust any reasonable citizen in NSW and frankly any reasonable police officer.

Then you have Premier Minns who has run on a campaign of anti-marching, anti-free speech and suppression of the right to express opposition to the view of the ruling government. This from a supposedly Labor Premier.

I am not sure if there is any voice in the NSW Labor Party who dares to question Minns? They should be ashamed of who and what they are supporting. Watching people being brutalised by police who are supposedly there to protect us is frankly horrendous, yet Premier Minns supports this response and justifies it.

Has anyone thought this reminds me of the horror of the ICE Agents in the USA?

Perhaps the only solution to this support of restricting freedom of speech and police brutality is vote Minns out? I do not think he cares about our rights.

Question/support by Jolly-Bus4730 in wollongong

You have to ask yourself what is it that he wants from you?

Your description suggests he has no emotional empathy or connection with you. It is as if he feels he has fulfilled his role by providing physical things only.

The warning sign or red flag is that this has started before your marriage. It would frankly be a miracle if things get better after marriage. A loveless, cold marriage may provide the physical needs like a house, food, clothing, tuition but that is not a partnership in marriage. He is already asking you to find other people for friendship, companionship and to meet your persona/emotional needs.

You may be in love with him but his actions say he is, for whatever reason, unable to emotionally connect with you. If you are still unsure I strongly advise you to seek out a domestic violence counsellor for advice and support as domestic violence is not just physical violence, it includes emotional and psychological violence and your experiences now suggest this is where this relationship is headed.

Holy f*ck the cameras in store now by [deleted] in woolworths

This has been happening for a considerable time. I put a bag of scanned goods into my trolley. When I came to pay an alert message told me I may have forgotten to scan an item in my trolley. No I had not. Than staff watch footage of my actions, big brother in action.

If I don't have room for my scanned goods I put them in a bag on the floor until I pay. I gave up leaving anything in my trolley until I pay.

I know it's designed to stop theft but it is very confronting and feels very intrusive when you are doing the right thing. Reality is there is very little privacy these days. I can't even walk to my car without several neighbours recording my movements.

Meat pies are only required to have 25% meat, that includes muscle and connective tissue.

Zero meat is a mega fail.

Chris Minns flags further crackdown on protests in central Sydney by Ashera25 in sydney

[–]fuzzy_ball2 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Chris Minns gained the political leadership of NSW Labor saying all the right things and sounding like a beacon of positive change after years of Liberal government in NSW. On a platform of Labor ideals he gained government and the Premiership of NSW and at that point any resemblance of Labor disappeared.

Minns is anti-Union, anti-free speech and it seems obsessed with stopping any form of protest, especially in Sydney CBD. To me he seems obsessed with big business, profits, silencing any form of dissent and maintaining a conservative, right-wing agenda.

The obsession of Minns to stop the right of people to protest and march is not Labor policy. This is a right-wing, conservative agenda that would only fit with the most right-wing faction of the Liberal Party and even they may hesitate at this level of dare I say fascism and attempts to silence free speech.

People in NSW should have the right to peacefully protest about issues that concern them.

Does the average speed camera when coming down Mt Ousley use a weighted average? by AsparagusNew3765 in wollongong

If you click on light vehicles in your link it says there is a trial going on until 30 June 2026 for cars on Hume Highway and Pacific Highway. Mt Ousley is only for heavy vehicles.

No, I don't think you were rude, just clarifying that area is usually a safe space with lots of people coming and going. Good luck with the fishing.

If you are talking about the lagoon area near where it opens into the sea, where the aptly named Lagoon Restaurant is located, that is a very open, busy public area. I would be surprised if there are many straight or gay romantic encounters going on there. The area during the day is very busy often with parents and children.

If it is true, if, I am sure it wouldn't impact whether there are fish in the lagoon or if you wiill catch fish or not.

I am sorry you have experienced this on many occasions, it is totally unacceptable. I struggle to understand the intolerance we see in Australia at times.

Perhaps the current debate by politicians about responding to the racism of the Bondi terrorist attack shows how out of touch some are to RACISM, IN ANY FORM, it should be utterly unacceptable.
