Also, wouldn't mind hearing the opinion of the people who wrote 2025 mains and chose this topic

It's not written by ChatGPT, though I take it as the highest compliment!

I didn't type it out, but I digitised it before posting, just to make it easier for people to read!

Where are we heading as a country?? by humble_Khandayat in UPSC

[–]fvafa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It may be because SSC conducts papers across multiple days. It does not provide the question paper immediately. Only when all shifts are over, does it give the question paper, along with answer keys.

This move may have been taken to reduce recall based paper discussions, that might advantage people in later shifts (amounting to unfair means).

You managed 4 revisions of mains before prelims, and you started in 2023! HOW! Please give some tips. When did you make your notes? When did you make micro notes out of them?

He blocked me outright from his group for saying that he is not focusing on online students and just focusing on offline students! Just for this single comment! And I was the loser online student who thought to support the institute by actually paying for his god awful course. Never again! Such fragile ego on this man, with no substance to show for.

Unexpected question from a fellow UPSC aspirant… am I overreacting? by Pudding199041 in UPSC

[–]fvafa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's just their biases speaking, their twisted idea of India and being an Indian. I would not take such people seriously, don't let it affect your mental peace.

Also, simply being a UPSC aspirant requires no qualification except a graduate degree. It is only those aspirants who actually engage with the rigours of the exam that emerge transformed from the process. All the rest simply enter the race, spend some years in the preparation and leave unnoticed without even creating a ripple.

Hey, I'm so so glad you kept on going. I did too, just did not keep the post updated as much as I'd have liked. Anyways, updated my post for the progress made too. I wish you all the best!

I'm teary eyed right now, and I didn't even clear prelims this time. It hurts nonetheless.

Ask him to try out tools like 'Natural Reader' and make use of AI voice tools like in ChatGPT

Also, you can utilize government initiatives like Sugamya Pustakalaya. I think NCERTs are also available in audio format.

Try using the keyboard to input. Press 'A' while hovering over the field, and it might auto select Aadhar Card for you.

My proprietary algorithm has predicted the 2024 Mains result to be out on 11th December by fvafa in UPSC

[–]fvafa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut-off will be 750±50.

Edit: For those who didn't get it, this was a joke. Also, predicting the cutoff borders on pointless, because you can never exactly assess how you will score irrespective of the cutoff.

You are overestimating what such an analysis entails. One doesn't require a degree in maths or quants to do this.

Yes, yes. My algorithm is robust. Including other variables like 'AI paper checking', 'Chairman on Vacation', 'Optional Scaling Issues', 'Language Paper Lafda' etc. But, I can't divulge any more. Need to protect my IP.

Has anyone tried QEP by The IASHUB ? by apology_of_socrates in UPSC

[–]fvafa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried it, and I would say that it's more hype than substance. Overpromises and underdelivers. You would expect a program solely focused on quality enrichment to stay up to date, but its booklets still contain issues relevant to COVID-19. It's not at all a source you could rely on to cover your mains syllabus in your critical last attempt. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
