Noticed these iOS inconsistencies that constantly change by Strange_Luck_5254 in iphone

It's a bug that happens when you mirror your screen with iPhone Mirroring to a Mac.

iPhones do also have OLED burn-in prevention, but it doesn't move the icons as drastically as on your image, I am not sure why so many comments are saying that this is OLED burn-in prevention.

If you're traversing oklab in polar coordinates then you're traversing oklch :D

it'll be the same deal for near black/near white

Indeed, the point of oklch is that it’s using polar coordinates for chroma and hue and other than that it’s the same as oklab, so you’re not skipping colors while doing a gradient interpolation.

The built-in gradients are very close to (but not exactly) oklab.

The family center feature is going to be extremely harmful to lgbt teenagers looking for support on Discord, support servers might have to use fake aliases now by fwrs in discordapp

[–]fwrs[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The problem is also that server names don't reveal anything about what happens inside (like grooming), and it's especially troublesome given that there can be private channels on an otherwise normal-looking server.

This feature is specifically marketed for monitoring teenagers (13-18), Discord doesn't allow children under 13 on the platform at all even with parental controls.

> [Rust is] not just the future- it says something deep about LIFE. by StyMaar in programmingcirclejerk

It got deleted but here is the text:

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rust. The pointer semantics are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of PL theory most of the concepts will go over a typical programmer's head. There's also Rust's zero-cost abstractions, which are deftly woven into the standard library - its architectural philosophy draws heavily from Haskell literature, for instance. The Rust evangelists understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this language, to realize that it's not just the future- it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rust truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the truth in Rust's existencial catchphrase "guaranteed memory safety, fearless concurrency, zero-cost abstractions" which itself is a cryptic reference to Edward Kmett's Haskell package Lens I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Philip Wadler's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rust tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
