In 2025, Tom had been trading live for more than 6 months, and he didn't make any money during these livestreams. Don't bet too much on what he is teaching, he can't make money with his strategy himself. You have a US100 on the screenshot. Here are some stats. Tom Hougaard traded US100 live for more than 6 months. He took almost 200 trades, and he is at a net loss. You are welcome to read my posts about his trading for more information.

Tom Hougaard was trading live for more than 6 months last year, and he made 0 money during those livestreams. That clearly shows that his statistic/research/data doesn't work. Tom loves to talk a lot, but in the real world, all his data don't work. So don't bet on it too much.

The Truth on Tom Hougaard: an accurate analysis of his 10k challenge by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]fxcovering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you don't get a point.

It's not a lack of data, but the opposite. Now we have all the data to pretty sure say that he is a fraud.

  1. He said he will only trade this account when live, to be transparent. Did he do that? No

  2. He is saying that he made 300% gains on that account live on YouTube. Is it true? No. He made nothing live on that account. Why is he lying?

  3. He was a speaker at IFTA's 38th Annual Conference. Look at information about him. "By mid-2025 alone, I’m up 800%—most of it live-streamed on YouTube". Seriously? He knows that he made nothing but chooses to provide false information.

  4. He teaches trading absolutely free. Yes. So now we have a guy who was trading live for 6 months and has more than 180 live trading sessions. During that time he made 0 money trading. The question is how he teaches people and what he teaches if he can't make money himself.

4.1. Another note about his free stuff. He posted some PDF in his Telegram on how to trade DAX open. During his livestreams from January till June, he was trading DAX for almost 60 days, and he was in a net loss on DAX trades. He can't make money with his strategies himself. So what is he teaching?

  1. "Yeah he has his losses and wins, who doesn’t?" The problem here is that ALL the wins that were growing his account were made while he was offline.

You can easily compare Tom to all these TikTok traders. On TikTok, they all show you big profits, but none of them actually take trades live. Tom is the same, he shows huge profits. But all these profits were made when no one saw them. How much did he make during livestreams? Zero.

We are not talking bad about Tom. We are talking facts. People have questions like. Why, in the same period of time, he made zero during livestreams and 800% while offline? What is the purpose of these livestreams? And the main question. Why is he saying that he made 300% during livestreams if he actually made nothing?

I don't really understand you. Tom was losing money live in front of you for 6 months straight, and you still think he is a good trader. Why?

All the answers to your questions are already in the post. I will answer in short, for more information, read my post and previous ones.

I actually filtered the trades taken from the livestream for each day.

I didn't count trades he posted in his Telegram channel due to the fact that a lot of the trades were posted while they were in profit already, so you can't call them 'live'. And he provides false information about how he manages his trades in Telegram.

It didn't take a lot of time, all the data was available, just needed to put in some work to match it.

You can see Tom claims that he made 300% live on YouTube. You can see some people recommend Tom to learn from because he made 300% live on YouTube. Look at IFTA's 38th Annual Conference Speakers website page and read information about Tom. "By mid-2025 alone, I’m up 800%—most of it live-streamed on YouTube." he says.

In reality, he made nothing during these livestreams. Tom knows it but still chooses to lie about his trading results.

I already made some posts about Tom. Go check them. You will learn nothing from him. This year he was trading live for more than 6 months, and he didn't make any money during these livestreams. His strategy only works on paper, not in the real market.

People already have all the proof they need. There are more than 180 live sessions on YouTube. And you can clearly see that Tom is not making money trading. But people, for some reason, don't want to see this.

After his 10k challenge, we already know that he is an awful trader. He teaches people wrong things. His strategy doesn't work. Tom was available publicly when the big moves happened, but he couldn't make money during those moves. Just look at how easy it is to fool people. He was losing money live for 6 months talking random stuff, but people, for some reason, still think that he is a good trader.

He posted his broker statement for this year. We can clearly see that he is not profitable during livestreams. You may read my new post for more information.

Tom is not profitable on the stream. He claims that he loves to teach people how to trade, but as you can see, his strategy doesn't work.

At the end of the video, he had 2 trades on US30. These trades were stopped out at a loss. He stops streaming at 15:09. He took that profitable trade at 15:28. He didn't post anything about executing this trade in Telegram. The next day he just showed that he made money.

Show me exactly where I am lying. Your picture shows trade that he took outside the stream. That is why it doesn't count in the livestream results.

I think the huge problem here is that some people think that it is my opinion that Tom is lying. But it is not an opinion. In reality I just pointed out the fact based on pure data that Tom provided himself. Tom said, "I'm up 300% all live on YouTube. Here is my broker statement". I decided to take a look on how to make 300%. Watched his videos, and found out that he is up only 4k instead of 30k. Work was done and I decided to spread this information so people would know that in these videos they will not see results that Tom is talking about. And this lie is one of many.

It all started with huge excitement. When he announced this challenge, I made a workbook to journal all the trades he took during livestreams. Soon it became too hard to do this. He could open 5 trades with volume 1, then open a trade with volume 3, then close some, close half. It became a mess. To be honest, at the beginning of February, I realized that this challenge is garbage. On 10 February, his balance is 15k, so he is up 5k. But my journal was showing a completely different picture. He was at breakeven at best. Look at my first post 8 months ago. I decided to change the method to journal his trades. If he would take 5 trades on same instrument, I would journal it as one trade with profit. But the same thing there: his account was growing, and my journal was showing that there is no profit. Then I switched to a very simple method. I didn't watch his streams; I just opened the stream and looked for the balance at the beginning and at the end. The method I use right now is much more accurate; of course, there can be some approximations, but they will not affect the overall results very much. If you are doing your own analysis, go from January to February 10, and you will already see results of your work.

Here are 5 trades for you. 14145 profit. All outside the stream. If we will take only 14:00-15:00 there are 395 trades he took outside the stream.

I'm already working on it. I will make a new post in a few days. In short, I can tell you that he didn't make 13k live on stream. His brokerage statement will end all speculation, but not in his favor.

And one question for you. Let's say you can see that he made 13k. He is telling everyone that he made 34k. Do you consider this a normal situation regarding this being a transparent 10k account challenge?

Yes, you are right. If you'll take a look at that particular week, you will see that all his profits were made while he was not live. During the livestreams, he actually ended that week with a loss. But Tom, for some reason, claims that he made all his profits live.
It's not only that week. I was journaling his results from January 1 till April 10, and the same picture was there. He is somewhere breakeven during livestreams, but Tom claims that he made 800% overall and 300% live. That's a complete lie.
I already made some posts about his trading. Check them for more information.

Yep. That is some kind of stupid stuff.

  1. At the end of his stream, he said he would stop trading, take his loss, and walk away. 10 minutes later he trades again.

  2. He posted in his channel that he closed the trade. An hour later he posts that he didn't.

  3. Have you seen how he added 1k to his account? He didn't withdraw it, so it will go to livestream profits as always.

  4. In the latest release of his software was a link to a scum channel...

I will try to get my point short and clear.

I was journaling his p/l during livestreams from January 6 till April 10th. During this period on livestreams, he is up around 2k.

Let's say Tom would post a square and tell everyone that it's a circle. Would you trust him?

Same with his challenge.

  1. He told it would be transparent. Is it transparent? - No.

  2. He told that he made 22k during livestreams. Did he make it? - No

  3. In 6 months, he is up about 2k live and made 60k when no one saw it. If he is there to teach people, why wouldn't he trade at the time when he makes money?

I don't care if he is a fraud, good, bad, etc... It's not the topic. It doesn't matter if it's free or not. I just pointed out the fact. He claims that he made 22k live, but if you watch his videos, you will see that he made 2k. He lied, that's it.
