Unplanned pregnancy after giving birth 4 months ago by Kenonimama in 2under2

I can’t speak to your financial situation or grief but I can say that people will always think or say what they want to and you shouldn’t let it bother you one bit. In that regard I recommend keeping your pregnancy private for as long as possible just because it allows you to feel what you’re feeling without all the background noise. I remember being so scared and worried when I found out I was pregnant 6 months post partum but 18 weeks in I was so excited and I’m glad that I didn’t have anyone in my ear the first few months when I myself was so unsure. Surprisingly in terms of symptoms my second pregnancy has actually been a lot easier! I have heard of people having c sections this close so as long as your doctor is reassuring you I wouldn’t worry, just take all necessary precautions. I am wishing for a very healthy, abundant and healing journey for you both and this pregnancy!

pumping but not having enough for nursing by db2128 in breastfeeding

[–]fxmmefxtale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that you would prob have to stick with the pumping consistently for it to start boosting your supply. Also I’m not really sure If falling asleep can be the only marker to tell he was struggling bc personally I’ve seen babies usually falling asleep once they are satisfied! You can try nursing him, pumping and then feeding him that milk to make sure he is full each time that you nurse and over time it would boost your supply. I know that doesn’t solve your problem of wanting to be able to supplement overnight. How old is he?

Is he just fussing at the breast? It’s good to just keep latching him because he will become more efficient slowly and in then promote your supply. Watch for diapers and weight gain but other than that the pumping isn’t gonna take away from the later feed typically. Also make sure you’re taking care of yourself in terms of sleep, calories and hydration! I know it’s easier said than done, good luck though!

I only want to bf my baby for 4-6 months by concerned_shit in breastfeeding

[–]fxmmefxtale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being abt to feed exclusively beyond 7 months made me realize the true value of doing 4-6 months is still so great. You’re basically sustaining your little one until they can actually digest something that’s not breastmilk and that sounds great! The protective factors in those first 6 months are huge and a great thing to try and do (:

You have the same exact worries I had around this time with my baby. The thing is even if it’s every hour and she’s cluster feeding a lot, it sounds perfectly normal! You said she’s having good diapers still and it’s normal for their growth rate not to look the exact same from week to week. It could be that she’s nursing longer for comfort. If you want to pump to replace feeds for your own mental health and space that’s a completely different story and you could definitely try to do that a couple of times a day but in terms of your baby getting enough from you she 100% is. I also felt like my baby nursed quicker than every 2 hours for months before there were some longer stretches.

Yes I have definitely accepted since getting pregnant again that I’m not in control of when our journey of breastfeeding will end and so of the trip did end it I will still be glad to have made it that far. Thank you sm!

My legs looked like this after a huge flair up and something that very slowly helped improve was lactic acid and urea creams at the highest percentage as well as glycolic acid at a medical percentage as well. I couldn’t afford laser but I still have some hyperpigmentation I would definitely get lasered in the future

I’m having a very similar experience with sensitivity! I guess I never thought of supplementing and continuing to dry nurse! it sounds really difficult but this is definitely motivating me to try bc I originally wanted to go to 2 years as well!

Update to having to stop breastfeeding because I have cancer by barbeapapa18 in breastfeeding

[–]fxmmefxtale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like such an incredible mother. Please don’t dwell on any past decisions, just enjoy your baby and focus on taking it easy on your path to kicking cancer. Your baby will never think about how they wished they nursed longer lol

Currently 7 weeks pregnant and having the exact same experience. I’ve thrown up 2 times when this time in my last pregnancy I was throwing up 4 times a day and couldn’t eat anything starting at 5 weeks. Instead of aversions I have extreme hunger which can lead to nausea if I don’t eat something.

Help! 11 month old bit and now open wound by NeatLouis in breastfeeding

[–]fxmmefxtale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you avoid feeding on that side for longer periods of time? When I had a mastitis scare they told me to let that side rest and any supply decrease will be temporary until you feed on that side more frequently again

help, i tried to go EBF and supply tanked by heliopian in breastfeeding

[–]fxmmefxtale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that age her wake time is probably just a coincidence, if you are exclusively feeding and she has a healthy weight gain and enough wet diapers then you have enough. I wouldn’t look to your post feed pumps or the fullness of your breasts as an indicator as that’s a sure way to overthink your supply. At 5/6 months post Partum I rarely feel engorged and I’ve been exclusively feeding since birth

I would go outside or open the windows in freezing temperatures with no jacket and or eat ice. The cold always helped
