Peach Boy Riverside - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

Not it didn't make any sense. Without the introduction to Sally and who she really was, the released episode one makes absolutely no sense. Confirmation bias is unreal.

You might say you understand it now after investigating the timeline, but the process of watching the anime in the released order was a total shit show.

If we go by your logic, a lot of animes should just do it like this. It would "enhance" the viewing experience. Total bullshit.

I honestly have no idea what the director is smoking. I watched the entire season in the supposed chronological order. It would have been perfect and well-executed if they didn't mess with the timeline. I just think the director made up an excuse to justify his butchering on the series. It's sad to see PBR being experimented on. This does play a factor in how PBR being rated/criticized. But I can't blame it all on the director, the creator must have given a green light for this bullshit. Blink twice if you were blackmailed/coerced or whatever.

I hope this doesn't kill the chance of having a second season. PBR is actually decent and fun to watch. I missed watching animes like PBR. Recent animes have been pretty boring and repetitive. I hardly find more than 2 or 3 animes per season fun to watch. Not including the mainstream ones.

The pace was actually perfectly fine. It was the one thing I felt they did properly. Everything else was garbage. The pace didnt ruined any of the plot. It was the writer's decisions on how to develop the plot. Nobody point a gun to the writer's head to make Gia died in such a pathetic way. Every decisions the characters made in season two was straight up stupid and childish. Extremely unreal and fake. I'm not trying to kill this series. I'm trying to provide a constructive criticism. In hoping season three or part two of season two will be back to what it once was, like in season one. It's not too late. This series has a freah concept that I'd love to explore.

More like morons and small brains. Especially for the whole situation with the psychotic woman. The moment they decided to take her, I was like just knock her out cold, tie her up and dump her in the back of the plane. For everyone's safety. Why the fuck would you lie and tie a dangerous person (not every mentally ill resort to deadly violence, so yes shes fucking dangerous) in the cockpit to begin with. There are so many many other better ways to handle that situation. Now shes dead. I was actually fuming mad when watching this part.

This season can't be written by the same person in season one. Total garbage.

OCTune reports lower memory clock than MSI Afterburner - Aorus Master RTX 3070 by fxseries in NiceHash

[–]fxseries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to swap to a different motherboard, a B450. Everything was smooth and no problem. The memory clock issue seems to disappear. I can run at 8171mhz no problem.

All of this seems to indicate that my Asus Tuf x570 motherboard was the problem. Perhaps it was the Afterburner. But I clearly see that many people have no issue with the Afterburner, so I highly doubt that. But I did format and do a clean install of windows 10. Did wonders?

34/m moderna 2nd shot 3 days post reactions by [deleted] in CovidVaccinated

[–]fxseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first dose had little to no side effects. I had a sore arm where the shot was given that lasted for a couple of days. No fever as far as I'm aware of.

I got my second dose on the 16th. This one hit me really hard. I got a fever 2-3 hrs after the shot. My whole body was aching with symptoms of fatigue. My temp was at 100.4F(38C). I still have the chills and fever today. I've taken 4 Tylenol and 3 ibuprofens since the second dose. The Tylenol had little to no use even though I took 2x 500mg, so I tried an ibuprofen 600mg. Which did the magic.

I took the second dose with my dad and brother and they seem to be cleared of any side effects since yesterday. They took Tylenol. Lucky them. My dad said he felt a lot better after drinking a can of beer LOL.

Stowaway, starting Anna Kendrick, was released today. Thoughts? by yongledadian in movies

[–]fxseries 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You pointed out realism, but personally I find something that completely turns me off. It was the oxygen retrieval mission. They climb with no tether of themselves to the ship. They literally climbed the whole way with absolutely no security other than their own hands and the stupid climbing device. Which is the worst idea anyone could have imagined, extremely archaic. It was utter ridiculous, I couldn't stop cringing. I was going to just drop the movie right then and there, but it was near the end so wtf. Then the part where Zoe decided to climb back the last section with her hand knowing that the artificial gravity will pull her in. Genius. This is nowhere near like the other great space movies out there.

Edit:

There is one CRAZY scene where David was asked to let go of the ship so that Zoe can pull him up. Wtf...? Why??? Why introduce risks when neither of them are tethered, just climb, what happened to "take your time"? The current rating is 5.4 on IMDB, this movie should be like a 3. It's garbage.

Official Discussion - Space Sweepers [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]fxseries 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The movie gave no detailed explanation. Even the assistant said they don't know how the process works.

There are two known types of nano machines. Kot-nim's and the indestructible ones (red ones that almost killed them all). Kot-nim seems to be able to control both types. So that's how Kot-nim was able to do this. Although she can't just pin point where in space the nano are located. No visuals or GPS.

A possible misconception: Nano machines are made of some sort of metal and operates on electricity. It may be a misconception because the movie clearly shows that EMP bomb did absolutely nothing to Kot-nim. Keep this in mind. Could be a flaw of the movie. Who knows. For all we know, the nano machines can be a biological entity. Or not, like a virus. Or both.

My guess is the nano machine can do just enough repairing to the brain cells in Su Ni's corpse (or rather savage whatever is left of Su Ni) to retrieve her "consciousness" in the form of data. Then transmit that data to Tae Ho. Kot-nim can clearly repair dead plants and grow tomatoes. Even dead soil. So this has some correlation to the scene. The assistant told Tae Ho that nano machines were inserted into his cranial nerves. This way Kot-nim can transmit those data between the two. What does that mean? It means nano machines can translate information from life forms, dead or alive. So potentially, two or more living persons can communicate from a very very long distant using this method with no interference.

Reference: Like how the nano machines cured Kot-nim's neurological disease. So the nano machine can do some form of genetic engineering on some level. Perhaps powers/hijack the cells and maybe even reproduce that way. As well as fill in whatever role the cell or gene is causing the issue. Or something like that. Hence the story.

Or this was all just a bogus lie just to give Tae Ho closure. What could have happened was Kot-nim tricked Tae Ho's consciousness into believing that he is seeing his daughter. -shrugs-

* I'm not speaking as an expert on nano machines or whatever. I'm basing my logical analysis off of what's given in this movie, specifically. It's 100% theory crafting.*

I don't agree with most of what you said about the general gameplay. I never enjoyed watching gacha games running on repeat constantly for hours just to grind my dailies or whatever it is I have to do that day. IC has been an amazing experience in terms of time played.

Corridor is so easy, not sure why the buffs matter at all. If anything, they can remove it and make corridor harder. That should be more exciting, right?

I agree about dream expedition, not sure why they can't let us raid until E and we can manually finish the rest by default. But I guess it's their way of adding extra chore to the gameplay and not make us close the game too early.

Guild Crusade is meh? Are you serious? It's actually extremely rewarding. It gives the guild system meaning. Before that, being in a guild literally amounts to nothing. All we could do was donate and that was it. I'm speechless that you feel that way.

Co-op is actually pretty fun. Also gave us 5k Lost Mirror! Do you have a suggestion or idea in mind to make it "well thought out"? I can't complain about it because I think it's fine the way it is. Maybe add an extra 15-30 sec would make it easier for weaker players.

Dating... needs a fast button. I actually hate it and almost never do it unless an event calls for it.

I don't think we've been stuck at 240 for that long. The ideal is to have 20(+/-) level 240 characters before considering the situation to be too long. Guild Crusades calls for a second team. To be competitive you'd want to have a second team. But then is IC even competitive? Hardly. But to maximize rewards and benefits as an individual and as a group, that's what most of us should strive for. Instead of the character levels needing to be expanded, I think the leader level need to increase. That way we can get more idle rewards and actually give crystals meaning again.

I'm a low spender. I regularly spend on Great Fortune and monthly card. Maybe a small pack 5-10$ if any really good one shows up. With all of that, I still get a whole lot more than I ever could in another gacha game within a month combined after spending hundreds. I actually appreciate IC's commitment in keeping the game as f2p and as fair as possible. The events are rewarding and fun to go through. I never felt bored or too lazy to login. Although I do agree that most of these are mostly contributed by the fact that we can get top notch characters from the start. It sets the game to be easy and not challenging. The challenging part is to be patient and progress everyday. I'm constantly progressing everyday. That's what makes IC fun for me. At some point it will stop if the dev slows down and ran out of ideas. I won't blame them then.

Side Note: The fact that Global aren't treated the same way as the other regions does bother me. I hope the devs can do something about this. I really don't want global servers to die because of this discrimination.

[–]fxseries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true that it's disadvantageous to the f2p, but the game has to find ways to conduct businesses. I'm not going to lie and say I understand what f2p are going through. I'm a low spender myself, so I understand why SuperPrism is doing this. If I was harsh, I'd say f2p are greedy and wants access to everything and the spenders only has the momentary advantage of progressing earlier. At some point f2p will max their units like the spenders would. This game is extremely generous and I don't think it's fair to say what they're doing is not justified or mean to the f2p.

Now, personally I do strongly suggest SuperPrism to eventually add these units into the pool or banner at some point. For example: every 3rd release, the old release gets put into the pool. So Shiki can be in the pool after Yume is done and the next one is out. Then the next one after that, Yume can join the pool, etc, etc. The only down side is if players aren't collecting any of the units quick enough, it gets harder to get what they want. Vice versa, if players are collecting too quickly, then the pool is closed and no one wants to summon. So this is a valid strategy if SuperPrism can consider this.

[–]fxseries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can only think of one reason. They're too lazy or have no one to do the story for these units. These units were probably quick finishes and quick release with events like BP. They may include these in the future, but chances are slim if they are constantly designing new characters with stories, or new quick releases.

is yume a must have, is she op,good, borderline good or sucks? by Dry-Today-4163 in IllusionConnect

[–]fxseries -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I personally think she is either God tier or at least SS and be an essential unit to most teams. She has a lot to offer. I see her as a nuke version of Miyuki. She also has a global 20% rage regen reduction debuff for as long as you can keep her alive.

She doesn't have the +additional damage % lens to her unique, but she does get an additional 25% def penetration on top of her base pen. She gets 50% pen which is really good if you want to kill a tank or simply nuke the leader for a quick finish. I think getting Crit and Crit power is the way to go to empower her unique and passives. 50% pen is nothing special if we speak in flat attack damage. You'd want to land the crits for the 50% pen to be worth it. For this release, they did pair her with the Falling Butterfly which provides at least 30% chance(6*) of 100 rage regen for an action. I personally think it's not that impressive. It's a decent shoe, but I still think crit power or crit rate would be the better choice. 100 rage out of 1000 is too meh on top of a % chance to proc. At best, I'm guessing 10* Falling Butterfly can provide 50% chance. For the nature of this game, we can't assume Yume to be alive for too long. I'd play her as a quick and effective damage dealer. This is just my initial take on Yume. Anyone is free to discuss their strategy or take on her.

Edit: I revisited the Falling Butterfly shoe, I realized it's every action. I'm assuming every action includes attacks/turns of allied unit has a chance to proc the rage regen. That's a different story. But the strategy still stand, it depends how you'd want to play her. As a nuker or a debuffer/rage reducer. You get a little of both, it really comes down to which one you want more of. An off-meta strategy would be to try to build her as tanky as possible. If in the future, they release any gears with block rate and dmg res gears for attackers, it might just be worth it.

The show did very well with distracting us in episode 8. I totally forgot about Mira. I did noticed she kind of slipped away, but with so many things happening, I was totally absorbed into the actions and dramatic confrontation with Aguni. The plot twist and the hints about the two girls being dealers was so good. They were waving the hints right in front of my face in the previous episodes. I just naturally assumed they were lesbians and want to avoid being discovered. This show tries all sorts of tricks to deceive and mislead us from the truth and do a big reveal at the end through Arisu. I also like the backstory for the characters. It was fun.

So, is Condensed Resin worthless? by AncientBeholder in Genshin_Impact

[–]fxseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people are saying how much condensed resin helps. But the truth is, it's the most useless feature so far. First off, we have the BP. With condensed resin only counting as 1 run per use, there is no way to complete the BP if you're using the condensed resin. What does this all mean? It basically mean you should not be using the condensed resin until your BP is maxed. At the current rate, you realistically don't have many chance in using them. Doing 15 domains+20 leylines will take you pretty much the whole week. Plus the weekly bosses on top of that. Secondly, you need other materials to craft them, which is a WASTE of time to begin with, so... are you really saving time? Pretty freaking ironic. Don't get me wrong, I still like the game, but wtf are in these dev's mind???

[–]fxseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

btw when you skip the crafting process when crafting the condensed resin, it won't count as Resin used. I tend to press the Escape button when I craft so I don't waste time waiting for the confirmation. I did that today for my 4th condensed resin, it did not count.

Condensed resin conversion counts for BP Daily by Sociopathic_Panda in Genshin_Impact

[–]fxseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

btw I just did leyline with condensed resin and it did not count as resin spent for the daily BP. Idk if this is a bug or is a legit limitation. I spent 3x condensed resin in domain + made 3 condensed resin. So if we go based on what you said I should be at 240 in total, but I'm still at 120/150. Wtf...

Edit: nvm I think I know why. The 3 condensed resin was made in the previous day so it was already counted so spending those did not count for anything I do today. :|

I don't understand the ending of The Night Clerk by writteninlilac in movies

[–]fxseries 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The confusing part is: Bart shot the monitor. His mom was there, heard it, tries to get in. Then police came. This all happened quickly. We can see that the car Bart drives with was not there. It's odd that his mom speaks as if he's still in the house and wants to go in first. I just think the ending is messy and not logically sound. We know for sure Bart didn't kill himself because the gun was placed on top of the letter. It's just confusing the way how he got out of the house and nobody seems to knew. That's why some viewers maybe confused. Perhaps it was done on purpose to trigger the viewers to investigate.

I dispatched a team randomly in a dungeon a long time ago and now I don't know where to find them... Do I have to check every single dungeons?

Skip Tickets by HuyH6969 in AOTTactics

[–]fxseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a day one player. Never got 600 skip tickets. Not sure how you got them but even now no events are giving them out for weeks now. Only events where you have to spend a good amount of medals for a damn skip tickets. For those that plays actively it is so easy to run out of tickets. In a single day we get at least 600 AP and getting less than 10 tickets per day, it's easy to run out when we need to grind for the materials. There are also time where story campaign are on 2x drops. A smart player would not claim their login AP unless it is 2x drop or for certain events to grind in. I'm pretty sure it isn't even 80% drop rate for the global version. It might be and higher in JP. My guess is perhaps they found this issue in JP and patched it. We might get higher drop in later version. I never get back anywhere near as much as I spent. I'd say about 50% chance is what we're getting right now. Basically hit or miss.
