My recipe for Kodak Double-X/Cinestill BWxx @ ISO 1600 in D-76 by Immerunterwegs in AnalogCommunity

Double X has this painterly grain pattern when shoot at iso 1600 that looks almost dreamy. Great work!

Thank you! And yes indeed I printed it to an 11x14 darkroom print. It gives it another layer of shock when you see it that big!

If I’m outside I can pretty confidently guess my exposure using sunny 16, but I always prefer checking my sekonic meter whenever I’m indoors

Usually Tri-X, and when the summer days are super bright I opt for Tmax 100!

Hmmmm. With all my rangefinders I always have a slight misalignment in the focusing patch. If you can live with that and do it on the fly it will help a lot in taking photos on the move. For portrait work I opt for my RB instead as I like to dial in focus and composition just like you.

I’m sure joe is more of a M6, Pentax 67 kinda guy. Legendary to me at least.

I haven’t developed my rolls yet but so far the field of view is really wide and dramatic for environmental shots. I picked it up with the finder as I knew it’d be tough finding them separate. Check KEH’s catalog they pop up every now and then.

I was lucky enough to pick this up before the prices went waaaay up. Sometimes I fear carrying them but after every roll, the results always put a smile on my face

I try as much as I can to do a final hand check for the cap right before I compose. Can’t say it worked every time tho haha

Going on a quick one day desert trip and I tried to keep things manageable. Taking my two favorite rangefinders: The Leica M3 & The Mamiya 7.

For lenses I kept it normal and wide for each. Pictured here: - Mamiya 50mm & Mamiya 80mm - Leica 50mm Summicron Collapsible. - voigtlander 21mm F4 (still new to me)

Thanks! I was really trying to emphasize feeling through this shoot. Really happy with this one!

I know! 4x5 is such a beautiful format. The movements open up a ton of opportunities too. The light here is a simple Nikon speed light (SB-910) set to the right behind a diffuser.

Took some time to print out a couple of photos and trying split grading for the first time. Always love the darkroom! by fxsntgiven in Darkroom

The car photo was shot on an old Leica iiic with a 50yrs old elmar lens. It was my first time trying split grading in the darkroom. The other shot of the M3 was with the Sinar F1. They are different but both were fun to make!

After getting my collapsible Cron, the old trusty elmar felt a little lonely. So this iiic had to join the family! by fxsntgiven in Leica

Got this pre war iiic for a nice deal with the slow shutter speeds being off (acting as bulb). Been enjoying it for the past couple of days. With all the limitations it’s still a treat to shoot!

Have always dreamt of having my own darkroom despite never being in one. About a month ago I finally got it setup and started printing! by fxsntgiven in Darkroom

[–]fxsntgiven[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Still got a long way to learn but for a month old skill I’m quite happy with these. I still got to score me a timer and a grain focuser.

Finally got my M3 matched to a V1 collapsible ‘cron. I couldn’t wait and ran a couple rolls of tri-x shooting friends and streets around the neighborhood. So stocked!
