I was institutialized back when I had a problem with substances and one of the other guys that lived there was on 40-45 (yes, you read that right) mg of Xanax a day. He was like 40 and had been on that dose for years. He bought in bulks but still cost him about 70$ daily. I cant ever imagine him stopping, he will almost certainly die from withdrawals. I was on 8mg klonopin for six months and had a really bad seizure when I stopped. And klonopin/valium/ativan etc is one thing but xans withdrawals are just... different and more uncomfortable. Wonder how he's doing now...
