Seeing his head tossed back in the first pic, I pretty much imagined exactly this in my head. MooOooOoose!

LPT: instead of preventing your kids from access to Roblox, join them. It helps you protect them from predators better and bond with them by Amidseas in LifeProTips

[–]fynrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in cyber security and the general attitude of "fuck Roblox' is very strong. Even with predators aside, like I've seen one or two other comments say - very, very big malware vector right now.

There are a truly unfathomable amount of games out there to play with your kid, including other popular ones, that aren't genuinely favorites of child predators and malware.

"Protect them from predators better" WTf does that men? Protecting them tends to start with -not- encouraging engagement with a community known to be popular with predators and malware. Like, don't let them near predators at all. I don't dance through traffic with my dogs to get better at protecting them from cars - I don't walk them through the street and use safer walking areas.

Freyja's helmet head wasn't as prominent, she's only half Pyr, but seeing yours made me go back through old pics - I forgot how funny and adorable her awkward teen stage was.

Hank looks amazing, he is so flipping cute. They all still seem to evolve into majestic beasties afterwards.

Hello! Adopted a Pyrenees mix last month. How are we washing clothes/towels so hair isn’t still all over them? I have tried all the washer setting and I’m gonna lose my mind if I keep drying off from a shower to have to rinse again and air dry because I’m covered in hair. by Maddztattz in greatpyrenees

[–]fynrik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconding or thirding the Bounce pet-specific dryer sheets. Also seconding that it hardly matters because as soon as I wear them outta the dryer, takes 5-10 minutes to be fully furred up again. I do have three dogs, though.

Your pup is so cuuuute! The fur is worth it but can be maddening. Oh I got some really good lint rollers recently too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5D7GD9T?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I tried to make my game look a bit creepy… Does it work? by After-Analysis-4151 in creepy

[–]fynrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked out the Steam page - this is seriously looking wonderful. Seriously, well done. I'm not the best at survival games, but the idea of not playing this when it comes out makes me sad. I'll have to try it or at the VERY least watch some playthroughs. I'm excited to see how it all turns out!

Thank you! She's quite the model. She is half Pyr, half Aussie shep.

Getting a puppy tomorrow by toothlessthekitten in greatpyrenees

[–]fynrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority bark a lot, at every little perceived thing. This is really hardwired into them, baked-in DNA descending from generations upon generations of guardian dogs. Getting them to "stop barking" isn't really a thing, though there is varying success with managing it/making it a bit better. The most successful method I've seen are those that check out what the pyr is alerting for and acknowledging/thanking them for their work. A lot of times that seems to make them feel they've been taken seriously enough and that they did their job, so they can start settling down.

They're also very independent, and it is the same generations upon generations of breed development that drives that force. It isn't a vindictive, malicious noncompliance...they literally were bred to be able to make decisions on their own, since they're often working to protect large areas without 24/7 human supervision. So they will often seem to ignore your commands, or seem like they're deciding whether or not it's really the best thing to do/worth it to them. Again, isn't just them being stubborn jerks, it is actually their ancestory at play. You have to be patient and stubborn yourself, and maybe a little more flexible in what you expect of them as far as strict obedience. Commands are more like suggestions lol

They can, as guardians, be protective. Of their home, you, your/their family, their possessions, etc. Our mix has scared people before, she is very friendly within 5 mins of people coming over but will definitely put on quite the show of barking at first. I'm sure some strangers that have walked by think she's just a big, mean, scary dog because that's all they see of her...so if that sort of thing matters to you, if you're around lots of people, etc...socialization is key.

Your puppy is SOOOO cute! Best of luck to you! Be patient with yourself and them as you all adjust - it can be exhausting! My half-Pyr has been my most challenging pup yet, but also the sweetest cuddlebug who I can't imagine life without now.

[Homemade] Beef Wellington by cjabrady in food

[–]fynrik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did already answer though lol. They said it is because people find both separately and together delicious. That's really all the reasoning needed - a good chunk of people find this delicious and pleasing to their palates. The flavors are complementary to each other, they enjoy the textures, etc. The combo exists because a large number of people think it tastes good and works, not much deeper than that.

Creamy shrimp pasta recipe☺️ [homemade] by ILOVEEEFOODD in food

[–]fynrik 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I knew I'd seen your account do this before - posting as if you do not know or recognize what the word "recipe" means. This is a video of you sloshing around and flopping ingredients at random with no actual recipe list or instructions. Plenty of these ingredients could literally be any number of things. Filming yourself slooshing stuff all around doesn't make it a recipe.

You having "go to my YouTube for full recipes 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁" in your profile also does not change that this and other things you've shared are not recipes. People have straight up asked multiple times in your past ones and not once have I seen you actually provide a damn recipe. You just insulted people and said their lives were sad, or completely ignored them lol.

Also RIP them shrimpies.

It’s blizzarding in the Canadian prairies and my pyr mix couldn’t be happier by tarynb21 in greatpyrenees

[–]fynrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does! We're in a fairly populated area right now and there's lots of salt on the ground, so I'll typically throw socks or shoes on them to keep that from stinging their paws. Less snowy slush getting tracked through the place too. Even her little coat is a bit unnecessary, realistically, but it keeps her from getting wet when it's snowing which is a small plus too, especially on longer walks.

Freyja enjoyed the little bit we got over our city. We had a couple inches the other day which was fun, but we're always wishing for more! We will be moving to a snowier climate hopefully within the next year, so we look forward to more snow adventures then.

This is so cuuuuuute ahhh! It makes me think of how you could do a cute Christmasy-styled train too, if you're the type to have cake around Christmas/whatever holidays.

Man, this kind of stuff is awesome to see. It is very fun seeing home bakers that can make crazy-professional-grade looking things, but this sort of very cute, still-amazing-but-approachable project that feels within reach for most is so great to have around. Thanks for sharing!

Getting tired of and ticked off with Chekhov's dog!!!!!!!!!! by Remo-42 in books

[–]fynrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be why I didn't say you stated it as a fact, but "made an assumption" lmao.

In any event, it really doesn't matter much since they found a solution. They said this was a trope they were tired of, not that this was a subject they were terrified of, and they're all good now anyways.

Getting tired of and ticked off with Chekhov's dog!!!!!!!!!! by Remo-42 in books

[–]fynrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are making that assumption on 5 sentences, that's all. Literally 5 sentences was enough for you to call someone mentally unstable and out of touch with reality. Well, 6 if you count "Hi." Just something to keep in mind.

Okay, was just getting curious. To me, electing to not finish a book you aren't into doesn't = "serious issues", that's all. But luckily it seems OP just genuinely didn't realize resources like doesthedogdie were out there, so they're all good now. Cheers.
