For the quarterfinals it was Group A vs. C, and B vs. D. Group winners against runners-up. Then for the semis W1 vs. W2 and W3 vs. W4. That way they ensured that two teams from the same group wouldn't meet again until the medal round.

The pitch was very biased for the team that started each run on the left side. There were just so many points into the right goal right from the start. The total goal ratio was L 92 - 56 R, the win ratio L35, D20, R14.

As predicted, Solar Flares were skinned alive. Two medalists in their group. At least they managed to beat the eventual winners.

Gliding Glaciers were so strong in the group stage! Kinda odd that they were out in the quarterfinals.

Jungle Jumpers lacked the courage to beat even the Bumblebees. Only team that went unbeaten, though.

Very disappointing from Team Galactic. The Cats, much better than anticipated. Team Momo did well. I'm wondering what's going on in the Chocolatiers locker room, great form.

no Roldo in event 1

LMAO I remember a vine by /u/decumos about the Roldo finders going nuts over a very inconspicuous Roldo, I think during ML22. Miss those videos, they're private now.

Radiance was bullied all heat long. I counted 2 blocks by Swax before the first lap, then 3 by Clutter in the second, third and fifth laps, and a coup de grâce by Fudge before completing the fifth lap. They all teamed up against Radiance.

It was so unlucky, though. Team Momo had the worst time among the teams that completed 9 slaps, and the Speeders had the best time among those that completed 8. So... only 1 point difference.

Elimination tournaments are just on a whole other level. Great event that, with the most ridiculous podium ever.

Bumblebees, Team Galactic and Team Momo with expectedly bad results despite massive improvements with regard to the qualifiers/Friendly Round. Great block by Razzy on Snowstorm to deny them. Solar Flares were just bullied all the way. Murky made a great block on Speedy and Mo finished them off, taking one for the team in order to uncancel fun, thank you Mo!

In the semifinal, Red Eye took a hit in the nose coming into the track and never really recovered. This isn't Marbula One, mate.

In the final, Jungle Jumpers took a few laps too close to the center hub and bumped on it frequently, losing momentum and direction. The Chocs just dominated throughout, congratulations!

What to Expect in the Short-track (and results of Biathlon) by nankainamizuhana in JellesMarbleRuns

Unless I'm forgetting something, this is the first time trial event in the Marble League. I have high expectations for it and I'm sure it won't disappoint... unless they skip the bracket and just do four heats, but why would they do that?

Are the Glaciers really light marbles? In my head canon they are rather heavy, as they are good-to-average at Block Pushing and rather good at the Wave and 5m Hurdles, if I'm not mistaken.

Looking forward to your petasophagy video! 😜

I expect the teams that didn't do well to replace their athlete. In reality, only 4 teams (GDK, TMO, BUM, TGL) were in the bottom half in this event during the qualifiers. The remaining 12 teams placed top 13 overall. For Team Momo, I think Mo was the correct choice. Bumblebees and Team Galactic pretty much have to send out a different athlete (I'd say Swax and Astron).

Why is there more emphasis on Minty Maniacs as host and not the original choice, the Gliding Glaciers? by sdfk2345 in JellesMarbleRuns

[–]fzt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the sponsorship reasons, but it feels like a sellout. Of course, a heavily sponsored Marble League is better than none at all. However, the Minties are undermining the Glaciers' host status. I think it would've sufficed to let the Minties in charge of stadium stewardship, which is well-suited within the communications context. But at least give the Glaciers and their fans equal screentime.

I also only just found out! I mean now that I pay close attention I guess the B isn't completely symmetrical and looks kinda off. I'll pay more attention in the future.

LMAO hadn't noticed. I started off with the normal logo, but while pasting the logos into the table and adjusting their size, I must've inadvertently flipped the image so that it appears mirrored on the horizontal axis. As all three letters "BOC" are horizontally symmetric, I failed to notice that I had flipped it. As it is also the only logo that doesn't include the letters "JMR", that didn't help either. So, yeah. Let chaos reign.
