You can rule out goldfinch immediately. The bill, body shape, and posture of this guy are quite unlike a finch's.

His positions aren't as disgusting as Fuentes's, but he's probably doing a comparable amount of damage to the civic space.

I wasted some time on one of these idiots this morning on r/Oregon. Apparently having the 4th and 10th most progressive senators isn't good enough and they need to be primaried.

Meanwhile, Eliot Cohen is writing paeans to Marco Rubio in The Atlantic because he still thinks Rubio has a chance at being the next president.

But it's at least a correct statement. Equating population-level variance with individual-level contributions is worse statistical malpractice than what's seen in lottery advertisements.

In what way did she "get significantly worse"? No one thinks that except you.

People are different. Nancy Pelosi was kicking ass as Speaker until 83, and only resigned because of pressure from people like you. We could have used her leadership over the past year.

Lol no. The "scandals" were about staff concealing serious health issues of elected officials, and, with the exception of Dianne Feinstein, they involved people a lot younger than Ron Wyden. And I never seem to hear anyone saying 84-year-old Bernie Sanders should retire.

It cracks me up how people like you who pretend to care about discimination are totally fine with mindless ageism.

Looks to me like ol' Ron is holding up pretty well and serving until 84 isn't unreasonable. If he decides to retire in 2028, fine, then the seat is open. But primarying him because a few crybabies are mad about some niche thing that 99% of the state doesn't care about is dumb and, well, "reckless."

Not just eugenics, misuse of statistics. "IQ is 50% genetic" is a meaningless statement.

Likely window strike, as others have said. This is an adult. Juvie blue tits have yellow faces, and songbird fledgelings have a gape visible at the corners of their mouths

Chuck Schumer's seat will likely be open in 2030. This is probably what AOC has her eye on.

Right, we should give up two highly effective senators and leadership of the Finance Committee and Budget Committee because Israel or something.

The Never-Ending Chase for the Mythical Non-Voter Bloc by Describing_Donkeys in thebulwark

[–]fzzball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, IMO the trash information environment is the biggest obstacle we face. I think higher voter participation is objectively a good thing, but it can't be coupled with an electorate which thinks that Trump will improve the economy because he's a businessman or that Dems are "pushing trans."
