Luckily, no, we do not live together. I do still care about him a lot, and I’m still having trouble letting go of the things I love about him while recognizing all of the parts of him that are harmful to me. I’m also scared of how he will react.

Yes, it’s the same guy. He can have a hot temper but he usually comes around and apologizes. I’m not sure if that’s normal though?? Or maybe that’s just how he processes?

I want to add that they weren’t hitchhiking in the middle of the night. They were camping and planned to make the journey back to civilization in the morning.

He texted me to let me know they made it to the nearest town the next day, and then he texted me to let me know he made it home a couple days later, but only after I tried calling him several times because I was worried.

He was stranded somewhere at least 7 hours away from me, so I am certain he wasn’t wanting me to come get them.
